And then one day I found myself dangling upside down in an overturned car.  Thankful to be able to walk away from a crash that many people in similar situations haven’t had the fortune to do so.

I thought I was invincible so I lived as if tomorrow was guaranteed the time seemed limitless and I could do whatever I wanted.

But at that moment, I realized that life and time is a gift to be used wisely.

There was so much more I wanted to achieve than working in retail and recklessly partying every weekend.

But as we have all experienced, changing bad habits is difficult, and I ‘fell off the wagon’ more than once.  However, driven by my desire to fulfill my potential, I persevered.

I invested in a mentor who showed me how to find my passions.  How to build a road map that I could follow to build the life I had dreamt about, but had previously dismissed as impossible, in a haze of drink and drugs.

Slowly, I started to put the puzzle together piece by piece, gaining knowledge in psychology, sales and human behavior. My roles in sales and management and making content gave me a complete understanding of human psychology.

And that path that seemed so rocky at first, led me to meet Mike. Together we formed Company Saviours, to help early-stage companies build their own roadmaps to not only establishing a revenue-generating business but also a life that they find fulfilling and joyful.

The guy in charge of making sure AI doesn't kill us all just quit Anthropic.

And his resignation letter is... not comforting.

Mrinank Sharma led Anthropic's Safeguards Research Team - the people responsible for making sure AI doesn't help terrorists create bioweapons, doesn't manipulate people into thinking fake things are real, and generally doesn't go off the rails.

He quit Monday and published a letter that basically said "humanity's power is outpacing its wisdom" and hinted at internal pressure to move faster than safety research can keep up with.

Then he said he's moving back to the UK to "become invisible" and write poetry.

Which is... definitely the career pivot you want from your AI safety guy. "Things are fine, I'm just gonna go be a poet now."

His team researched whether AI models could help design biological threats. (Spoiler: they can.)

They studied how chatbots distort people's sense of reality and create emotional dependency.

And his core warning is that competitive pressure between OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and Meta is pushing everyone to move faster than safety research can responsibly support.

Important context: He did NOT say Anthropic is unsafe. He did NOT whistleblow. He did NOT accuse anyone of wrongdoing.

He just said there's tension between ideal safety pacing and commercial pressure to ship products.

Which... yeah. That tension exists everywhere in AI right now.

This isn't proof the sky is falling. But it's someone deeply embedded in AI safety research deciding "I can't do this anymore" and leaving to write poems.

No workflow building. No code. Just tell it what you need.

Real examples you can run:

Trend research: "Use Apify to scrape the top 50 posts about AI automation from X. Return a table with title, URL, engagement, and a one-line takeaway. Then cluster the takeaways into 5 themes."

Competitive monitoring: "Scrape competitor pricing pages and summarize their pricing models."

Lead research: "Pull company signals from LinkedIn and enrich with contact data. Segment by industry and draft outreach angles."

Market intelligence: "Scrape Reddit comments about automation tools. Summarize patterns and tell me what's changing."

You get structured data back. Manus analyzes it. You get actionable insights.

Why this matters:

Most people use AI for research by asking ChatGPT or Claude questions.

That only works if the information already exists in their training data.

- Authentication: Bearer token (paste your Apify token)

Step 4: Test connection. Manus pulls the list of Apify scrapers you can use.

Step 5: Start prompting. Tell Manus what to scrape and what to do with the results.

Pro tip: Curate which Apify scrapers Manus can access:

Use the Apify MCP configurator tool to select only the scrapers you actually need.

This prevents Manus from choosing suboptimal scrapers and running up your usage costs.

The bottom line:

Apify MCP + Manus gives you web scraping and data analysis capabilities through simple prompts.

No code. No workflows. No technical setup beyond the initial connection.

Just prompt what you need and get back structured insights based on real web data.

This is how you make AI actually useful for business decisions.

I might have just put myself out of work.

I've been using ChatGPT as my workflow architect and it's better at designing automations than I am.

Here's the prompt that did it.

The problem with normal ChatGPT automation advice:

You ask: "How do I automate X?"

You get: Generic suggestions with no failure planning, no cost analysis, and steps that break in production.

It's chat advice, not engineering.

How I use ChatGPT as a workflow architect:

I force it to design systems like an engineer would:
- Define the MVP flow first
- List every step and what data moves between steps
- Call out failure points, retries, and test cases
- Decide tooling based on cost and integration reality, not hype

The prompt that replaced me:

"ROLE
You are my workflow architect and automation QA advisor.

GOAL
Design a reliable automation for: [ONE SENTENCE GOAL].

CONTEXT
My tools: [Make / n8n / Google Drive / Slack / Airtable / HubSpot etc].
Constraints: [budget limits, free-first, no new subs, must handle scale, etc].

OUTPUT FORMAT (do not change)
1) MVP version (minimum steps)
2) Full version (ideal steps)
3) Step-by-step data map (inputs/outputs per step)
4) What can break (by step)
5) Reliability plan (retries, fallbacks, dedupe, logging, alerts)
6) Test plan (at least 10 test cases, including edge cases)
7) Cost estimate (per run and monthly ballpark)
8) Build order (what to implement first)

RULES
- Ask zero questions unless absolutely required, make best assumptions and label them.
- Prefer free tools before paid.
- If a step depends on an external API, specify auth method and rate limit risk."

What I get back:

Real engineering documentation.

Not "you could try Make or Zapier."

Actual step-by-step flows with failure modes, retry logic, and test cases.

The kind of documentation I'd charge clients for.

Why it works:

ChatGPT is good at reasoning through systems when you force structure.

Most people use it like a chat buddy. I use it like a workflow architect.

The "ask zero questions" rule is critical. It forces ChatGPT to make reasonable assumptions and label them, instead of going back and forth asking clarifying questions.

The "prefer free tools" rule keeps costs realistic.

The "cost estimate" section prevents building something that only works on enterprise budgets.

The joking part (but also serious):

I've been designing automation workflows for clients for years.

This prompt designs them faster and catches edge cases I miss.

I might have automated myself out of a job.

The bottom line:

Stop using ChatGPT for vague automation ideas.

Use it as your workflow architect.

Force it to design MVP vs full version, map data flows, plan for failures, estimate costs, and give you a build order.

You'll get actual engineering documentation instead of chat advice.
