As the Founder and Principal Consultant at NorthStar Data Privacy, my focus is on steering organizations through the complex landscape of data privacy. 

During my tenure as Chief Privacy Officer at International SOS, I built the Global Privacy Team and helmed the implementation of robust privacy frameworks globally in 90 countries, including the EU, the US, Asia Pacific, Africa, the Middle East and China. 

I am passionate about helping my clients with practical, innovative solutions in data privacy matters.

I love a good problem-solving challenge and am tenacious about delivering clear, practical solutions. Technology in the legal field is a big passion of mine, and I’m learning as much as I can about AI and the latest innovations.

Last week, I hosted my first Indigo Coaching Gratitude Circle

For clients, old friends and new...

A beautiful space and soft light...

And 10 people willing to pause before 2025 races to its finish line.

🌘 It was two days before the New Moon, in the Balsamic Moon phase - a time for reflection and slowing down.

We arrived carrying the usual end-of-year mixed feelings - tiredness, relief, pride.

Some slightly frazzled from the tropical thunderstorm and shortage of taxis.

Yet, something shifted the moment we began to breathe together.

Our nervous system began to relax.

We reflected on:

🌜 What we are ready to release
🌜 What we would like to receive
🌜 What are we grateful for this year

⭕ There's something about sitting around in a circle - one of the oldest human practices of sitting around a fire in caves.

There we were, different people, different stories

With the same need to slow down, release what's heavy and honour what's real.

I left the circle feeling grounded, nourished and incredibly grateful - for the people who came, for the stories shared and the power of gathering with intention. 

We were so present, so absorbed in the moment (not thinking about social media at all)... that we forgot to take a group pic.

So, here I am  - just me and 10 very satisfied-looking cushions 😁

When I first heard about “personal branding”, I was really upset that I had to promote myself. 

Shouldn’t my work speak for itself? 

It took me years to work through Shock, Denial, Pain, Guilt, Anger, Bargaining, Despondence and finally... Acceptance.

The reality is: 

If people don't know you, your name won't come up in discussions on the star project, promotions, meetings with the CEO...

And in the current climate of retrenchments, nobody to fight to strike you off the retrenchment list.
