As an ex-leader in tech and a multi-neurodivergent learner, I know the intensity of navigating high-stakes environments while being pulled in a hundred directions inside and out. It’s a lot.

My career has taken me through IT leadership at Microsoft, research in oral cancer, roles in banking, and the study of naturopathic nutrition. I’ve lived through the pressures of identity tied to performance, of loyalty stretched too far, of boundaries tested until breaking point. I’ve also navigated multiple burnouts — which became my biggest teachers.

That’s why my focus now is on the deeper work of self-leadership — helping leaders relate differently to self-pressure, doubt, and the constant mental noise that clouds judgment.

The looping mind.

is signalling at the same time.

So you move quickly,

what information is present
before you interpret it.

𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲 comes after that.
𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗳-𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 comes after that.

Without awareness, the fast mind keeps recycling familiar patterns
and calling them “decisions”.

With awareness, you start leading from fuller information.

Not just what’s happening around you.
But what’s happening within you as you respond.

Your mind is working overtime
to land something, anything,
so it can finally rest.

Not because you are doing it wrong.

For many senior leaders,
pressure does not show up as panic.

• searching for what you might have missed
• jumping to action because stillness feels uncomfortable
• pushing through, even when you are already depleted
• thinking “I know this pattern… so why am I back here again?”

These are 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘀.

Not problems to fix.
Information about what pressure is doing inside the system.

Under pressure, many senior leaders notice the
impact first in their thinking.

Not because nothing else is happening.
But because 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴
and override other signals.

When you pause just enough to
observe the mind,
you might notice thoughts like:

“I just need to sort this.”
“If I can close this loop, I’ll feel better.”
“This shouldn’t still be bothering me.”
“I don’t have time to slow down.”

This is the mind trying to
𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘆 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲.

𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁,
the experience changes.

The thought still appears.
But it 𝗻𝗼 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀.

You 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 the urge to rush.
You 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗲 internally before acting.
You 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘀𝗲 deliberately,
rather than reflexively.

That is the difference between
𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲-𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴
and 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳-𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽.
