While many thought that was where my story would end, I took it as my opportunity to reinvent myself. Though I absolutely work hard, I play hard as well. I enjoy travel, eating out, dancing, beach walks, and karate. A Dream Day for me is packing an incredible picnic basket filled with treats, listening to amazing music while training karate on the beach...! It is my ultimate dream to build a community center in low-income areas that provide free activities such as gardening, woodworking, knitting, and other creative skills to build confidence and community connections. I grew up on the East Side of San Jose on food stamps and welfare. But even as a young child, I knew that I wanted more. When I was about six years old, I saw a commercial, and the announcer said, "If you spray Windex on your windows, your whole world will sparkle." It might sound corny, but this is still the visual I use today as I help every family. I think about the children in their life and their future who will be positively impacted by the plans we put in place to create generational and multi-generational wealth. P.S.
