In this role, I have the opportunity to produce resources for educators for a digital project titled "K-5 Digital Learning of Contemporary African using Technology." I create a number of accessible, interactive, and current web-based resources for virtual learning. One of the most enjoyable aspects of my job is collaborating with industry experts and stakeholders to define the scope of work, develop learning objectives with updated revisions, manage timelines, and deliver results on time. This is where I excel at project management, using agile methods to create training guides, reference material, user guides, and how-to videos.

Curriculum Developer

Guilford County Schools

Guilford County Schools is a public school system serving students in grades K-12.  This public school system is dedicated to providing the students the best in instructional practices and academic opportunities to be prepared for the workforce or higher education.

I am responsible for a wide range of educational actions, including training, curriculum development, and diversity, equity, and inclusion training. As part of updating learning methods, I create curriculums for programs that provide access to emerging technologies. I use learning data to inform instructional practices and delivery to increase learning outcomes, which resulted in growth from 23% to 35%. As a member of the School Leadership team, I evaluate educational programs and their effectiveness. This helps me create a collaborative, inclusive culture at school.

In this position, I was hired to act as the Social Studies expert for the Teaching & Learning TEAM in the school district, managing logistical aspects of new and revised curriculum introductions for the 2024 – 2025 academic year. Develop curriculum frameworks based on internal criteria, while staying updated on educational trends, and state and national benchmarks. Engage in monthly collaboration with upper elementary curriculum teams to innovate products, investigating social studies content and background information for instructional and curricular applications.
•	Developed an online professional development tool utilizing an existing template to align with specific organizational needs and objectives.
•	Adhered to state standards and formulated novel questions for evaluating state standards by enhancing and integrating fresh content into current lessons.
•	Verified the accuracy and adherence to quality educational design principles in newly created content, confirming correspondence with accessibility standards.

Instructed the district curriculum in a virtual setting using culturally responsive research-based instructional strategies using MicroSoft Teams, uploaded and created instructional content for the Canvas Learning Management System, monitored student progress through informative and formative assessments, analyzed student data to provide student interventions and collaboratively planned with grade-level team members, coaches, parents, administration for student success.

The Equity Leadership Development Program
The members were selected through a rigorous selection process to participate in a leadership development program provided by the DEI (Diversity Equity Inclusion) Office.  They serve as liaison and provide professional development to all school staff on equity and inclusion.


I offer on-site targeted support to teachers, colleagues, and leaders to help them build healthy relationships and identify implementation success and challenges. The most critical factor in my success is my approach to onboarding new employees. I am an expert at enforcing company culture in training and using best practices to drive the vision of the school's mission. In addition, I facilitate professional training for a staff of 40+ employees on equity presentations on culture and immigration, promoting educational equity, inclusionary integrity, and student achievement.

The STEM(Science Technology Engineering Math-Teacher Leader Collaborative at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro is collaboration of elementary teachers, and faculty members to provide training for elementary teachers.  These trainings provide resources for schools with large populations of students to color with research-based hands on learning using science kits.  These sessions promote equity and inclusion for all students in science.


Designed facilitator and participant guides for learning support documents for remote learning for the virtual science library.  Evaluated the lessons plan content to inform development of learning context.  Designed and implemented science lesson plans for grades K-5 for remote learning for school closures due to COVID-19.

Digital Promise

Digital Promise is an educational non-profit organization dedicated to closing the academic gap for students in technology.  They created a workspace for resources for teachers and other education allies to provide lessons and content for remote learning.  Students have learning gaps due to COVID-19 school closures to transition to virtual leaning.  Digital Promise selected educators from diverse backgrounds and experiences to serve on a board.  This board created workspaces, VILT(Virtually Instructor Led Training) videos on how to use the Learner Variability Navigator for grades K-12.

Designed and refined educator toolkit with the board to improve the professional learning experiences in order to increase the effectiveness of our engagement education partners. Elevated educator voice and incorporated best practices and classroom exemplars into our
navigator.
