Be careful when using automation on LinkedIn, it might be the last thing you do 👻

(on the platform, that is)

No, seriously.
There's a lot of people trying to figure out how to automate almost every piece and bit of their LinkedIn presence and I genuinely think it's a sad tendency.

AND!!!!

If you look at pt. 8.2. number 13 of the LinkedIn user agreement, under things you are NOT allowed to do, it says;

“Use bots or other unauthorized automated methods to access the Services, add or download contacts, send or redirect messages, create, comment on, like, share, or re-share posts, or otherwise drive inauthentic engagement.”

I agree there's nuances to this and you can do smart things that are not ruining the platform while you're at it.

However, I just wanted to give a heads up when you're promised by an LinkedIn "expert" nothing ever happens. Things happen and more both people and businesses are being closed down as LinkedIn knows this is a problem that needs solving.

For a lot of people and businesses LinkedIn is both now and will be in the future a big part of how business is done, so the potential loss is huge.

2026 is the year where social maintains social.

Another strong update from LinkedIn 🙌

This time very much in the spirit of the "video first" mindset that has been pushed very hard in 2025 (and before).

They've been busy, as always, given how they keep on providing new nice data points to use for insights and optimization 😄

It might appear on paper as a "smaller" update, but in my opinion this allows especially less experienced marketers to better understand when videos are performing well, what length your videos should have and in particular when the main message of your content should be clear to the one viewing (and since video is one of the main content types this can greatly impact performance both short-term and long-term).
