Working with cross-functional teams to identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.

Other responsibilities included but not limited to creating and maintaining project financial forecast and tracking conformance to baseline budget and schedule. Collaborating with vendors and Coordinating with contractors to support project requirements and deliverables.  I was also responsible for overseeing the design, assembly, testing, installation, and commissioning of the automation systems and equipment.

Project Manager

Proposal life cycle management focusing on concept and project development for large-scale automation projects. Working with customers in the Electric Vehicle, Consumer electronics, Nuclear and Energy segments to develop and propose factory automation equipment and systems to meet customers’ specific requirements.

Typical activities included reviewing customer specifications and product designs, developing machine concept & layout drawings including performing cycle time calculations, analyzing costs, and preparing detailed cost estimates and project budgets.  

Other responsibilities included but not limited to Managing involvement of internal and external subject matter experts, coordinating with external third-party vendors and equipment suppliers to support project estimates, writing and presenting detailed technical proposals, as well as travelling to the customer’s site to enhance understanding and develop a personal relationship with the customer’s personnel.

Provided project planning support and continuous collaboration with the project execution team to ensure alignment upon receipt of order and providing support to the project team throughout the project life cycle.

Most notable achievement was leading a team in the project development and proposal phase of (2) large EV battery pack assembly manufacturing lines with a combined value of $53M USD for one of the big 3 US OEMs. Both projects were awarded and have been kicked-off.

Applications Engineer

Agile Project Manager responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and management of digital transformation initiatives and software development projects. 

Typical activities included leading and managing various IT related projects, from initiation to completion, using agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban. Owning complete project life cycle from definition through deployment. Working with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives

Other activities include but not limited to developing and maintaining project plans, timelines, and budgets. Facilitating various scrum events (stand-up meetings, sprint planning sessions, sprint reviews, and retrospectives). Ensuring the team follows the Scrum framework and agile guiding practices. Managing project resources, including project team members, vendors, and third-party contractors. 

Ensuring project documentation, including requirements, user stories, and technical specifications, are up-to-date and accurate. Providing regular project status updates to key stakeholders. Identifying and removing impediments that prevent the team from achieving sprint goals. Working with project team to identify risks, issues, and dependencies and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.

IT Project Manager / Scrum Master

With focus in automotive inspection gauges, fixtures and automated inspection systems, I was responsible for performing detailed review of customer information, which included specifications, drawings, procedures, sample parts, and similar production equipment to gain a full understanding of the customer’s needs.

Typical activities included developing machine and tooling concepts, tracking engineering changes in part/assembly drawings and models using CAD software (Solidworks and Cimatron), analyzing costs, preparing estimates, and developing proposals for various projects as well as supporting program management by providing technical support to customers as required. 

Other responsibilities included conducting research to assess new industry opportunities and business development, overseeing and managing small scale projects as well as training and mentoring new team members consisting of interns and full-time staff.

North American Stamping Group

Interpreted customer technical specifications and standards. Utilized 3D CAD software (Unigraphics and Solidworks) to determine material usage and assembly process. Reviewed blueprints and technical documents in order to prepare estimates including tracking engineering changes in CAD models and drawings.

Other responsibilities included generating part overlays and strip layouts, utilizing MS Excel for data analysis, forecasting and budgeting, evaluating a product’s cost effectiveness and profitability and collaborated with product engineers, program managers and customers to optimize manufacturing processes.

I was also responsible for onboarding new team members as well as coaching and mentoring interns.

Engineering Cost Estimator

Involved in the quoting process, including blank development and processing of quotes. Utilized 3D CAD software (Unigraphics and Solidworks) to determine material usage and assembly process. Created part prints as applicable, including GD&T and Datums'. Tracked design changes in CAD models and drawings.

Other responsibilities included generating part overlays and strip layouts, utilizing MS Excel for data analysis, forecasting and budgeting, evaluating a product’s cost effectiveness and profitability and collaborated with product engineers, program managers and customers to optimize manufacturing processes.

I was also required to provide body coordinate information and participate in the APQP process, cost saving activities, kick-off meetings as well as handle other task as delegated by the estimating manager.

I managed weekly inventory documentation to support budgeting efforts, ensuring a streamlined financial process. I was part of a team that successfully introduced a new medium to enhance tool-crib storage capacity, contributing to a more organized and efficient workspace. The hardest working people are not the most successful.

I’ve met people who work incredibly hard but stay stagnant because they rely on effort alone.

Hard work is the entry ticket.

What takes you to the next level are the things people don’t talk about enough:

1️⃣Visibility – If no one knows you exist, your effort stays hidden.

2️⃣Strategy – You can grind in the wrong direction for years and still end up stuck.

3️⃣Relationships – The right people can open doors your effort alone never could.

5️⃣Execution – Ideas are cheap. Follow-through is priceless.

I’ve met people who combine hard work with intention, positioning, and smart decisions—and they move faster.

Stop using AI bots to comment on LinkedIn.

I’m starting to see a trend that’s watering down real conversations. People are letting AI reply to comments for them.

I tried one 2 years ago. It was terrible. I sounded like a robot and nothing like myself.

And honestly, it comes off as lazy.

If you can’t take a few seconds to talk to real humans who are engaging with your content, you might as well not join the conversation at all. 

Comments are where relationships are built. They’re where people get to know your voice, your energy, your thinking.

Don’t hand that over to a bot. Show up as you.

It takes a little more effort, but the payoff is real.

The biggest risk you can take in life is refusing to bet on yourself.

The more I step out and it works out, the more I’m willing to stretch myself again. It has become a habit. Sometimes it even feels addictive.

Fortune consistently meets the people who move. The people who dare. The people who try things even when the outcome isn’t guaranteed.

I’ve learned that “playing it safe” comes with a quiet cost. You stay comfortable, You avoid failure, but you also avoid every door that could’ve changed your life.

Calculated risks build character, confidence, and opportunities.

If you’ve been waiting for the perfect moment to take a leap, this is your reminder:

Bet on yourself.
It’s the safest risk you’ll ever take.

I never get excited about normal.

Normal feels normal, but it rarely moves your life forward. 

Every big leap I’ve taken started with something small and definitely outside my usual path.

That’s the part people forget.

You don’t need to start big. You don’t need a perfect plan. 
You just need that tiny spark that doesn’t feel “normal” to you.

It’s been 12 months since I left Canada 🇨🇦 for the US 🇺🇸 

And wow… What a ride!

It was exciting. It was scary. And sometimes, it was both at once.

The last 12 months have been about finding my footing, learning the lay of the land, and slowly integrating into life here in the Bay Area.

Work has been busy but fulfilling. I’ve found my rhythm at Bloom Energy, collaborating with an innovative team building sustainable energy solutions that power the world’s most critical AI infrastructure.

Beyond work, community has anchored me.

I’ve found a home at Redemption Church, where I stepped up to serve on the live media team. Something I had never done before. Growth really does happen when you say yes before you feel ready.

I also took on a leadership role as VP of Education at Next Step Toastmasters Club. Grateful to the members for trusting me and believing in what I can contribute.

Community building has always been part of who I am, and that path led me to the Bay Area Tech Professionals Community. This group has been my support system. I’m now part of the leadership team, helping build something that genuinely matters.

Another unexpected twist was me signing up as a Mentor for Stanford University CS177-Human Centered Product Management class. Sharing my knowledge with aspiring PMs has been really rewarding.

Somehow, in the middle of all this, I found some time to jump on a plane to go visiting new cities - LA, Phoenix, Utah, Dallas (again). It’s been my busiest year yet, but also one of the most adventurous.

I didn’t figure it all by myself. 

A special shout out to some people who helped me find my footing: Daniel A. Opoku, MFA, Dayo Banjo, Divine Boamah, Tolulope Talabi, P.Eng, & Seun Agbetuyi. Y’all are the real MVPs.

Year one is in the books. I’m deeply grateful and humbled.

We wrapped up 2025 with an in-person gathering, and it couldn’t have been a better way to close things out.

Last weekend’s potluck was full of good food, games, laughter, and real camaraderie. 

The Bay area can be quiet lonely but seeing so many people show up, share meals, and genuinely connect was a reminder of what this community is all about.

This year has truly been a blast, and there’s so much to be thankful for. 

Huge thanks to everyone who came out, brought food, and helped make the day special. And a big shoutout to the organizing committee for pulling it all together.
