Stepping into the CTI Community Day last week felt like a reunion with my Soul Family 💖

Being quite a few years out of the coaching training, it feels so special to reconnect with the framework, my front of room leaders, and simply, the usual flow of the day. I felt a full-body nostalgia ✨

I watched my savings vanish into thin air in the 1st year of my coaching practice 💸💨

I left that last corporate job hoping that my well-honed-in sales & marketing skills would naturally translate into clients forming a queue for my practice. 

They didn't. I felt like hiding from my recent colleagues from embarrassment 🫣

By the end of that year, I had a clear choice to make - 
figure it out... fast!
OR 
head straight back to the corporate world (not ideal). 

I chose to swallow my pride and handed over $5k to 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘱 from my first Business Mentor. 

And OH my Godness, did that pay back with dividends!

The thing that I missed trying to lean into my b2b skill set: 

1) enrolling coaching clients is WAYYYY more subtle and nuanced process 𝘷𝘴 selling recruitment or any other corporate services... 

2) there’s a systematic process to getting fully booked as a Coach, consistently. 
Not only being good at 1 skill (sales, marketing or lead gen). ALL of it needs to be finessed and working smoothly together.

Once that nuance and process sunk in - I felt it in my bones that I can say ba-bye to soul-sucking jobs for good 👋

𝙄𝙣 𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙧 2 - I recreated half of corporate income with coaching revenue and could comfortably cover living expenses. 
𝙄𝙣 𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙧 3 - Bingo! I've hit my full corporate pay (just over £100k)
𝙄𝙣 𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙧 4-onwards - I kept at that threshold while reducing the hours to 4-5 a day so I can spend more time with my son Leo 🦁.

When I get a mo later this week - I'll share my 3-step path to attract clients and grow a thriving practice through LinkedIn.

3 steps to become an Abundant Coach using LinkedIn 🐾

As promised last week, here's my framework for you to explore: 

1️⃣ CREATE your offer

If your niche is “life” or “mindset,” you’ll struggle to get traction.

Clients invest in solving specific challenges - like regaining confidence after maternity leave, or nailing that next promotion, etc.

Once you’ve chosen your niche, design a package instead of selling sessions by the hour.

It sounds simple, but this shift alone can take you from €100/hour to €2–5k packages per new client.

2️⃣ ATTRACT your ideal clients

Posting everywhere is exhausting - but LinkedIn is a goldmine for Coaches.

Only 4% of users post content, which means when you do, you stand out.

Share stories, reflections, and insights your audience can relate to - and keep it human.

Then balance content with connection.

Reach out directly to potential clients with curiosity and care. You don’t need fancy funnels - just real conversations.

If you spend focused hours each week on outreach, you can almost guarantee yourself 10–20 enrolment calls/month.

3️⃣ ENROL your clients

Don’t just coach for free OR pitch like a salesperson. Blend the two.

Start with genuine curiosity: explore their present, challenges, and dreams.

Then, if you see alignment, show them what’s possible if you were to journey together. 

And when objections come up? Coach them through it.

"It's expensive", "it's not the right time", "I need to renovate the kitchen first" - could well be those pesky saboteurs vs their objective reality. 


Building a thriving practice takes courage and consistency - but it’s absolutely doable.

Let’s make your coaching business abundant (and fun!) this year ✨

I spent the 1st half of my career helping wealthy people get richer. And...

progressively more depressed 😢

As a Headhunter, I helped investment bankers get bigger jobs and bonuses. 

Years later, I'm meeting my best candidates, discovering that they are feeling so dark, asking for therapy referrals. 

Relationship troubles, lack of meaning, general lack of joy. 

This was my 1st lesson in "money alone doesn't bring happiness". 

It kicked off my own spiralling into "𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘤𝘬 𝘢𝘮 𝘐 𝘥𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳" that lasted 5 years straight. That's a LOT of navel gazing! 

Finally, it dawned on me! I enjoyed a BIG part of what I do: 

-meeting people
-learning about their goals
- supporting them through a change 

ONLY one piece missing 🧩

I wanted to help people find FULFILLING work, not simply climb up 𝘢𝘯𝘺 career ladder. 

THIS is how the 1st incarnation of my coaching practice was born - as a 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵 supporting kickass corporate professionals transition to deeply fulfilling roles.
