I lead artificial intelligence program for the City of Tucson. My focus is on using AI to improve public services and create more equitable systems. I work to ensure that emerging technologies are grounded in transparency, inclusion, and real community needs.

With more than eight years of experience in healthcare and dual master’s degrees, I bring a strong foundation in policy, health equity, and program design. I’m currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence at Capitol Technology University. My research focuses on ethical AI development, chronic pain management, and fairness in healthcare.

In 2024, I was recognized with the AI 2030 Influencer Award and named a Global Fellow for my contributions to responsible AI. I also lead National Black AI Literacy Week, an initiative to expand access and understanding of AI in Black communities.

I serve on the executive leadership team of the Black AI Think Tank and contribute to the Women’s Leadership Committee for AI2030. Most recently, I completed the Generative AI Leadership Accelerator at the University of Arizona’s Eller Executive Education program, deepening my work at the intersection of AI strategy and ethical implementation.

I believe that technology should serve the public good. It should reflect care, accountability, and the voices of the people it’s meant to support.

This morning I had NPR on during my drive, and they ran a segment on AI in higher education. One of the professors they interviewed started talking about how their campus is using Latimer as part of their approach.

I literally smiled, LOVE to see it! John Pasmore and the Latimer team are out here building tools that actually meet people where they are and support real learning, access, and representation. When your work shows up in national conversations about the future of education, that says a lot.

Proud to see this win for Latimer and excited to see how far they take it. Keep going, John. This is the kind of leadership the AI space needs. 💜

Spent the day at Microsoft  getting a first look at how Copilot and the new agents are evolving across the entire ecosystem. They covered a lot of ground, but the part I’m most excited for is what this will mean inside Excel. The speed, the support, and the way it can handle real data challenges is going to change how people work. And seeing the University of Arizona shine in the Microsoft Excel Championship reminded me that strong tools still need strong thinkers. Wildcats set the bar high!

I’m excited to share that I’ll be moderating the next session in the Arizona Technology Council's  Virtual Tech Speaker Series, focused on AI education and upskilling for healthcare professionals. This is a conversation I care deeply about because the future of healthcare will depend on how prepared our workforce feels to use these tools in real, everyday situations.
