3️⃣ Stay visible:

→ Familiarity leads to interviews.

4️⃣ Comment where recruiters hang out:
→ One thoughtful comment > 1000 desperate comment

5️⃣ DM recruiters with startegy, not desperation:
→ Ask about the role or team — not for a job.
→ Drop thoughtful comments on their post. 

6️⃣ Make your intent felt:
→ Network on and off LinkedIn.
→ Share insights around your experience.

LinkedIn isn’t a job board.
It’s a positioning platform.

The right profile + consistent visibility = job opportunities.

Should you add your LinkedIn URL to your resume?

Not always.

Here’s the simple rule:

Include it only if it strengthens your story.

✅ Add your LinkedIn URL when:

→ Your profile is updated and well-positioned
→ Your resume is tight and LinkedIn adds context
→ You publish, engage, or have strong recommendations
→ You’re in sales, marketing, consulting, leadership, or relationship-driven role

❌ Skip it when:

→ Your LinkedIn is outdated or inconsistent with your resume
→ Your headline is generic (“results-driven professional”)
→ You’re early-career and LinkedIn adds no extra signal
→ Your activity or content could hurt perception

Bottom line:
→ Your resume gets attention.
→ Your LinkedIn builds trust.

Only link them when they reinforce each other.
If not, fix LinkedIn first.

P.S. If your LinkedIn isn’t resume-ready, don’t link it. Fix the positioning first.

This comment almost tricked me — and it’s NOT from LinkedIn.

I just received multiple comments on my post that looked like they were from LinkedIn Security.

Here’s exactly what the scam comment said:

“LinkedIn has identified your post as a policy violation. Please proceed to submit an appeal to avoid permanent suspension.”

It even included:
→ An “appeal” link
→ A LinkedIn logo
→ A fake case number
→ Urgent language designed to scare you

⚠️ This is a phishing scam.

That link does NOT belong to LinkedIn.
It’s designed to steal your login details and take over your account.

Important facts everyone should know:
→ Any domain outside linkedin.com is a red flag
→ LinkedIn will never contact you via comments
→ LinkedIn will never ask you to appeal through an external link

Why this is dangerous (especially for active users):

If attackers hijack your account, they don’t just steal your access —
they use your identity and trust to scam your connections.

That means:
→ Your network is at risk
→ Your reputation is at risk
→ Your business or career can be impacted

What to do if you see this comment:
→ Do not click the link
→ Report the comment
→ Block the account ASAP
→ Alert others so they don’t fall for it

P.S. Please save this post and share it. These scams are spreading fast, and visibility is the best defence.

They won’t.

→ What outcomes does the company care about *right now*?
→ Which parts of my experience directly support that mandate?

Only then do you tailor:

→ Headlines that mirror the role’s priorities
→ Bullet points that emphasize relevant impact, not responsibilities
→ Language that aligns with the company’s industry, stage, and goals

The result?

You stop sounding like a candidate who’s qualified —
and start sounding like the candidate who’s obvious.

Strategy doesn’t mean reinventing your experience.

It means positioning it with intention.

And in a crowded market, intention is what gets you interviews.
