Head of Employee Relations

• Served as head of employee relations for TIAA Bank (now EverBank) and reported to SVP, head of associate experience and employee relations for 1,200 associates and 70+ people leaders.
➙ Coached leaders, providing insights and interpretation of policy and employment practices for complex associate relations issues.
➙ Reviewed quarterly metrics to identify and assess notable trends and make appropriate recommendations.
➙ Prepared investigative reports, presented findings and made recommendations to management and business partners.
➙ Provided coaching and mentoring to peer-level (BU ER counterparts) and HRBP colleagues.
• Conducted investigations and resolved associate relations issues across performance management, interpersonal conflict, harassment, retaliation and discrimination.
• Drove integrated support to align recommendations and outcomes with organizational values, minimize financial risk and support overall employee experience and engagement.
• Partnered with head of associate experience to facilitate over 10 “Safe to Speak Up” training events for TIAA Bank associates, co-leading modification and adoption of training program enterprise-wide.

Senior Director, Employee Relations

• Reporting to VP of HR supporting client services and technology and risk and controls groups (700+ employees), aligned end-to-end human capital practices with strategic goals of the business.
• Partnered with business leaders to realign organization and assess/revise job descriptions and tiers to ensure accurate talent matches and support sustainable platform (strategic refactor initiative).
• Partnered with compensation team to develop and map career paths.
➙ Ensured pay ranges reflected marketable rates for newly created transition management roles.
➙ Worked with business leaders to institute intradepartmental posting policy and process for senior roles that enabled high-potential development and eliminated optics of favoritism.

• In partnership with hiring managers and talent acquisition, assessed workforce planning and talent needs and instituted panel interviewing, resulting in better and more timely hiring across 48 roles.
