I spent the last 10 years leading an award-winning UK eCommerce brand, growing the brand from two co-founders to a team of 14, securing over £1 million of venture capital investment and securing contracts with the UK’s largest retailers including Superdrug and Holland & Barrett.. Currently, I help founders and senior managers with the following:

Afrocenchix

Co-founded Afrocenchix,  natural cosmetic brand, whilst in university which became the first Afro Hair brand in Whole Foods UK.

Key skills:

- Managed fundraising operations and led annual budgeting and forecasting to raise over half a million pounds in venture capital investment.

- Financial management to ensure the business was achieving profitability and positive cash flow generation through robust internal processes and monitoring performance against budget.

- Strategy creation to ensure the direction of the business was headed towards growth.

- Increased commercial sales with B2B customers. Secured partnerships with Wholefoods, Holland & Barrett and Superdrug and implemented the roll out of products into stores. 

- Headed operational activities to optimise manufacturing and logistics processes. Reduced costs and increase margins. Built and managed the product development team and launched new products to market whilst securing a partnership with an affordable UK cosmetics manufacturer.

I spent the last decade of my career growing an award winning D2C cosmetic brand. I bootstrapped the business as a side hustle then went full time to grow the business. I was able to raise investment from Softbank (via WeWork Creator Awards judged by Diddy, Ashton Kutcher & Gary Vee), Backstage Capital, Impact X & Backed VC, Nalden; founder of WeTransfer. I grew revenue by over 500% in the last 24 months prior to my departure and grew the team from two co-founders to fourteen people.
