2026 prediction: Linkedin content will look a lot less like "Linkedin content". Here's the breakdown:

We’ve been conditioned to believe that the perfect post follows a formula: a hook to grab attention, a tease to hold it, a bite of value to reward it, and a call-to-action to close it. I’m guilty of it myself. Somewhere along the way, that framework became a religion. And in the process, it stripped the soul out of the ideas themselves.

We’ve been duped into tasteless formatting that swallows the rawness and specificity of real insight, then spits it back out in a box-fitting structure designed to please an algorithm rather than a reader.

But the tide is already turning.

What’s actually winning now, and where 2026 is headed, are posts that read less like “content”, and more like writing. Editorial. Narrative. Long paragraphs that flow instead of punch. Ideas that breathe instead of getting chopped into “3 lessons that changed my life.”

Readers are tired of snack-sized insights that lack a "so what?". They’re craving a voice. They’re craving depth. They’re craving the feeling that there’s a human on the other end of the screen, not a content playbook.

2026 will be about building intellectual worlds. Posts that read like essays - sharing proprietary insight, that can exclusively be shared from one sole profile. Posts that treat the reader like an equal, not a lead in a funnel. Posts with enough substance that the “hook” is simply the clarity of the idea itself.

I hate mentioning the algorithm, because who really knows? But it will be catching up to this, and people already have.

A couple months ago, I put out a call looking to connect with freelance writer job board operators. The goal was to explore partnerships. 

Since then, we’ve launched Orbit, and it’s been growing at a pace quicker than our team could’ve imagined. Thought I’d run through our thesis and how we’re thinking about it:  

Over the past year, we've been building content agencies with one mission: to become the modern-day PR partner for B2B teams.

There has never been more demand for content, and our job is to be the trusted partner for both the daily, recurring content needs and the big, occasional projects.

Linkedln content. Newsletters. Case studies …

By doing this, we've had the privilege of working with dozens of freelance writers. And I've come to believe two things:

1. Writers are massively underserved. 
2. The layoffs happening inside large companies, combined with the misguided belief that Al will replace writers, are leaving thousands of world-class editorial talents in search of the next opportunity.

That's where I see the gap.

By acquiring, systemizing, and unifying job boards, we can create the infrastructure that serves these freelance writers at scale. A centralized, modern hub for the next wave of talent in media and content.

Always looking to connect to freelance writers!

Hiring at a ghostwriting agency is tricky. You’re looking for people who think fast, care deeply, and move in rhythm with clients. Here’s the framework we use to evaluate new hires across our core teams at Notice Me(dia): 

1. Our Account Manager/Content Writer function:

When it comes to account managers, we start with a 30-minute call. We walk through how we operate, who we serve, and where we’re going. It’s mostly a vision check and alignement. We’ve learned that hiring people who see the world the same way we do matters more than anything else. 

We’re not looking for 3–6 month partners. Our mission requires partners who align on yearly horizons. 

If things align, I’ll send over a short pre-recorded video - usually 15 minutes - where I walk through how we think, how we write, and how we tell stories. 

From there, they’ll write a few posts in my tone and voice. That gives me a real sense of accuracy and how well they understand nuance.

I also pay attention to response time. Not in a rigid way - we don’t expect sub-four-minute replies like we do with clients, but I like to see a sense of urgency. These are the people supporting our clients day-to-day.

2. Our editorial function, led by Sakshi ✨.:
 
When it comes to editors, the best test I’ve found is real-time collaboration. I’ll pull up a few AI-generated posts and ask them to share their screen and edit live. It’s the fastest way to see how they think. How they catch tone. How they move words around until it feels right.

3. Our GTM function, led by Jacob:
 
This is a different type of hire. Jacob, who leads it now, wasn’t even looking for the role, and nor was I hiring, when we began working together a year ago. He showed up curious, relentless, and a little shameless. 

He asked questions, followed up, and made himself useful until the role made sense. He enjoys the chase. Someone who can send 30 follow-ups without losing energy.

The common thread here is ultimately someone who devotes their working hours serving clients to whatever extend our support is needed.

A little over 3 years in, I’ve posted over 1,200 unique pieces of LinkedIn content. If I were to restart today - given all the patterns our team has collected, here’s what my LinkedIn content strategy would look like:

1. My #1 priority would be to build emotional resonance (via content as a vehicle) with my ICP: CMOs, VPs of Marketing, and Heads of Marketing at enterprise software companies and service providers (11–200 employees, North America). 

To do that, I’d have my content revolve around three pillars:

1) Personal - who I am, how I think, what I’ve learned.

2) Business - what we do, who we serve, the results we drive.

3) Industry - my hot takes on marketing, writing, and content.

2. Decide on cadence. My goal on LinkedIn is to stay top of mind for that profile of people. These folks are consuming content daily, so my name needs to be in their feed. I’d post 3–5x a week. Any less, you’re forgotten. Any more, especially at the start, and you burn out.

3. Where I would source this content is primarily from conversations that I’d have with prospective clients, teammates, existing clients, through other social channels - like newsletters, YouTube, LinkedIn and Twitter. 

4. Lastly, remember the series mindset.
Every post is an “episode” in your content series. Overthinking kills momentum. Be intentional, but hit publish. The most detrimental thing you can do as a relates to building out your LinkedIn content engine is to overthink what you are posting. 

Be mindful, but let it fly. To anyone starting to build out their content engine, I hope this helps!

I first started paying attention to Linkedln, back in 2021, when my BComm Professor told that I'd meet interesting founders here.

At the time, the best way to describe what LinkedIn felt like was a digital briefcase - buttoned up, transactional, polite. Most of the content was job boards, corporate updates, and startup press releases. This was the "briefcase era" (2021-2022), and I still remember thinking it felt like a quieter, less-spammy version of Twitter.

To describe the next "evolution", I'd say that it's best described as the Linkedln influencer wave - posts that were hyper-optimized for formatting: one-line paragraphs, dramatic hooks, and "insight" stacked like a listicle.

Funny enough, were even tools that would analyze your writing and reformat it for you. It was the era of growth hacks by over-optimizing on post aesthetics.

Around 2022 into 2023, the platform shifted again.

Selfies took the reins. LinkedIn briefly became the new Facebook (some hated it, some loved it). Every post had a close-up photo, a vulnerable caption, and a life lesson baked in. The algorithm rewarded it, and the rest followed.

Then came the video moment - early 2024. Linkedin launched a dedicated video feed. Creators pivoted entire offers around video-first content. Engagement spiked. Interestingly, a few months later, the feed vanished, folks moved on.

Now, heading into the tail-end of 2025, we're entering what I think is the editorial era.

Posts are getting longer again. More thoughtful, more structured, less performative. The content that resonates now reads like something you'd say out-loud, less of a "script". It's how real people talk when they actually care about what they're saying.

If I were to sum up the takeaway from these "eras", I would say:

Stay in the game, iterate, adapt to the trends, but don't lose your voice chasing them. The sweet spot is somewhere between what performs, and what feels true.

During my trip to NYC earlier this week, I met with an incredibly impressive founder who just came off a large seed fundraising round for their AI-enabled service startup. 

Incredibly niche product, green field of a market, and the context of our meet was to discuss and brainstorm everything GTM (go-to-market). We mapped out 11 different go to market avenues and directions, both for the shorter-term and long-term. Here is a list of all those different avenues, and the actionable gameplan:

1. LinkedIn content
2. LinkedIn outreach
3. Email outreach
4. Reddit marketing
5. SEO 
6. GEO 
7. Facebook groups
8. Events (attendance + sponsorships)
9. Google ads
10. Referrals/network
11. Paid introductions 

We concluded that the short-term, actionable GTM stack would be as follows (and their reasonings):

1. LinkedIn content - content would be designed to help build familiarity with prospective clients, hires and future investors. At this stage, theyre hiring. They’re a lean team of 4, but expanding rapidly to keep up with market pull. 

2. To follow, they would set up automated outreach campaigns on both LinkedIn and email. LinkedIn campaigns would follow the following sequences:

a. Cold Outbound - based off a lead list. Continuous cold outbound. 

b. Outbound based off content engagement - monitoring who engages with their posts, they would identify who fits their ICP, and send a personalized message. 

c. Outbound based off website visitors - using web identifier tools, theyd push all website bisitors into slack, and hit them on LinkedIn given this signal. 

3. In-tandem with the above, they’ll also begin exploring conferences and events, to get more face-time, building the familiarity live. Invaluable. 

4. Lastly, whats most important, is network. What I shared, based on what has historically worked best for us, is to always promise a referral/connection after a meeting. Compound goodwill.

A company is compiled of data, logic, technology, design and people - they’re all inputs. Raw material. But without a narrative to contain them, they scatter like sand through open fingers.

People like to subconsciously think they make decisions based on facts. In reality, they respond to form - to the curvature of a story. The rise and fall. The tension and release. The sense that something is happening. Because that story resonates. It contains something that draws the reader closer. 

Every meaningful act - raising capital, hiring a team, launching a product - depends on story as the interface between your idea and the world. It’s the packaging for meaning. In simple words, it’s why people “give a shit”. 

The bridge between signal and reception. Get that story wrong, and your message dissolves like ice in boiling water. Right, on the other hand, allows you to bend reality. 

The storytelling arc.
