Lifestyle Medicine (LMJ) is an open access, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to research, prevention and treatment of lifestyle-related diseases (noncommunicable diseases, chronic diseases). Lifestyle-related diseases have been established as a main threat not only to human health, but also to development and economic growth by the United Nations and the World Health Organization. The LMJ aims to provide a global perspective on the research and practice associated with lifestyle medicine. Comparative investigations across continents and cultures are a particular characteristic of the journal. The LMJ is the official journal of the European Society of Lifestyle Medicine and the Global Lifestyle Medicine Alliance as well as other affiliated organizations.
It is  a cross-discipline research platform to advance the science around lifestyle factors and health. Lifestyle Medicine publishes articles in the areas of research, clinical medicine, policies, and public health to provide stakeholders and health care professionals with relevant research and structured scientific information in the field of prevention and treatment of the leading causes of death in the 21st century: lifestyle-related diseases (noncommunicable diseases).
