Yesterday, I showed my girlfriend what real leverage is.

She has a fairly small but very engaged Instagram audience in health, wellness, and fitness. She’s been posting for years. Stories. DMs with questions, and people saying, “I love your stories a lot, this inspires me as a woman.”

What she didn’t have was a product.

And, it happens to be that I love building products.

So we sat down and packaged her knowledge into something simple.

An ebook on her expertise, hosted in simple store.

For the first 12 hours, we didn’t even push it yet.

No broadcast, or fake urgency.

Just a link in her bio.

And it clicked for her immediately.

Not because of some huge number.

But because she finally saw the leverage.

This is the first step in detaching her time from her income.

This is the same pattern I see with founders, consultants, and operators all the time.

They have traffic
They have expertise
They even have demand

Every week, that attention expires.

Yesterday’s post doesn’t make money today.
Last month’s engagement doesn’t help this month’s cash flow.

So they keep showing up.

The only thing they sell is a high-ticket offer.

Miss a week of posting or selling, and everything slows down.

Let’s be honest:

Only a small slice of your audience is ready for that level of commitment at any given moment.

I shared 7 ideas to stand out on LinkedIn in 2026:

1) Templates are dying → your voice is the USP

AI makes everything sound the same.
Your biggest advantage is your unique insights & story.

2) Your content on LinkedIn behaves differently

Strong content takes longer to spread.
Plus, your thinking works better than copying viral trends.

3) You can’t just claim “authority” → you earn it.

Your network wants personal stories, proof and lived lessons.
Authority comes from showing up consistently long enough.

4) How-to content is dropping in value

Information is available everywhere.
Don’t become Wikipedia — share opinions and perspective.

5) Most founders don’t lack strategy → they lack commitment

They keep rebuilding and reset to zero every time.
Most strategies work if you stop jumping between them.

6) Cold DMs are dying → trust is the real unlock

Trust on LinkedIn is low, so cold messages get ignored fast.
Content builds familiarity before conversations start.

7) Alignment beats optimization long-term

Most strategies work if you stop hopping.
The real decision is which business you want to build.

After 5+ years working with experts, I learned this:

You don’t have a lead problem.

You have an “I can’t explain what I do without a TED Talk” problem.

Here’s the lie I hear every week:

“I just need more leads”
“Maybe better content”
“Maybe I need to post more”

That’s what people say when they’re confused.

And the confusion shows up in very predictable ways:

You get on calls with nice people… who don’t buy
You keep hearing “sounds good, let me think about it”
You hear “Can you send me a proposal?”
(aka: I’m not sold)

Every deal turns into something custom.

Because your “offer” isn’t really an offer.

It’s a vague promise plus a bunch of options.

So the prospect does what all prospects do when they’re uncertain:

They compare you to cheaper options
They go “talk to their partner”
They disappear

Then, you lose the deal.

Not because you’re bad at sales.

Because your offer is confusing.

And confused people don’t buy.

If someone can’t explain what you do in 10 seconds, your pipeline will always feel thin — no matter how many leads you pour into it.

If you want leads that don’t argue about price, you fix offer + positioning first.

Your offer either makes or breaks your business.

And, most experts I talk to over-complicate this thing:

They talk about offers in this abstract way.

Then they stop there.

Nothing really happens after that.

In a nutshell, your offer is 3 things:

1/ Who you help
2/ What problem you solve
3/ How you deliver it

If you have clarity on those things… you’re already ahead of 99% of people.

I’m not exaggerating:

→ Most people cannot say who they help.
→ They cannot articulate which problem they solve.
→ And they’re not able to explain how they deliver it.

So they default to being a high paid freelancer.

They keep selling their time.

And once you sell time, everything downstream breaks.

Selling time feels safe.

But it quietly puts a ceiling on your business:

→ how many hours you have
→ how many clients you can take
→ how fast you burn out

That’s why most people stay busy but stuck.

You can post more.
You can work harder.
You can even get better.

But structurally, nothing changes.

Here’s the simple solution:

Build a great freaking offer.

Everything else gets easier after that.

The good news:

You close a client and you deliver the work.

Money comes in.

And then, the bad news: it’s quiet again.

So you go back to hunting.

That’s the phase most experts get stuck in.

Every month it feels like you have to start from scratch again collecting new revenue.

Here’s the part people miss.

This model works until it doesn’t work.

It’s great to start this way.

It’s great to get your business off the ground with custom projects and referrals.

But most people never move past it.

And that’s where the pressure shows up.

I’ve been in this loop myself.

Back in 2024, I was closing 4- and 5-figure clients via DMs.

But when the engagements ended, the machine stopped with it.

Same question as always:

where does the next one come from?

That’s the trap.

You can be good at sales and strong at delivery.

And still be restarting your business over and over.

Because if people are buying you—your time, your availability, your custom thinking—you are the business.

And that caps everything.

I see this pattern with consultants and agency owners running custom work who watch their calendar block out for delivery, then open up again a few weeks later, every single month.

The difference between “doing work” and building a business is whether something keeps running after the work is done.

Every founder wants scale but few build it correctly.

Most experts I talk to are busy tweaking things:

The offer.
The content.
The sales process.

For a long time, I did that too.

What eventually clicked for me was seeing the business as four connected parts, not isolated problems.

There are 4 main pillars I always look at:

1/ Package
2/ Position
3/ Pipeline
4/ Productization

Packaging is taking everything you already do with clients
and putting it into one offer you can clearly explain and deliver.
Same work you’re already doing.

Positioning is what decides who that offer is actually for.
You can have a strong package,
but if the positioning is unclear, people won’t recognize themselves in it.

Pipeline is where most businesses quietly break.
You can have a good offer and solid positioning,
but without consistent traffic, the system doesn’t move.

That’s why pipeline matters so much.
It’s what keeps the rest from stalling.

Productization is about how the offer shows up in different forms.
Not everyone wants the same level of access or commitment.
Some people want full support.
Others want a smaller entry point to get started.

That’s where things like programs, group formats, tools, or spin-offs come from.
Not new ideas: existing work, packaged differently.

That’s why I don’t believe there’s one “best” strategy.

Your business should be built around how you want to operate.

And, that only happens when all 4 pillars are aligned.

If you’ve thought that, you’ll recognise this too:

- you’ve got clients… but no clue how 
- you’re “busy” every day, but nothing feels repeatable
- your calendar looks full, your pipeline doesn’t
- and your calls turn into a 30-minute explanation of what you do

On paper, it looks like it’s working.

This is the feast-famine cycle.
And more work doesn't fix it.

You’re not building a business.
You’re surviving a lucky streak.

So you do the sensible thing.

You stay busy.
You post more.
You tweak your headline.
You rewrite your bio 3 times/week & call it “iteration”
You change your offer name.
You adjust pricing.
You build a new page.
You “research” competitors.

Anything except the scary bit.

The scary bit is committing to one clear answer:

1/ Who is this for (so the wrong people bounce)?
2/ What problem do you fix (in pub language)?
3/ What’s the result (so it’s an easy yes)?
4/ Why you (so you’re not compared on price)?

When that’s foggy, everything downstream gets heavy.

Your content doesn’t land because the message underneath is confusing.

And you start doing the one thing every expert hates:

Convincing.

You start defending your price like you’re on trial.

That’s why “more leads” doesn’t fix it.
More leads just gives you more people to convince.

The late-night thought is the honest one:

“If this stopped tomorrow, I wouldn’t know how to restart it.”

It shows up as discounting, longer sales cycles, messy delivery, and a calendar that owns you. You can’t build a 4-day week business on “maybe.”

Clear means fewer options.

One of our clients followed the roadmap. 

Within weeks, he had the freedom to travel. 

Next time we talked, he was calling in from a beach town in Brazil — between kitesurfing sessions. 

That's what this is actually about.
