Maxwell's Group present two of the most exciting, immersive event venues in London this year. 

The world renowned Café de Paris may have opened it's doors in 1923 but is continuing to push forward, hosting new and exciting events from immersive brand experiences to alternative corporate conferences and away days. The venue has a standing capacity of 715, banqueting capacity of 286, multiple rooms and beautiful original features.

Brand new to the events market in 2017, Tropicana Beach Club promises to leave a lasting impression with guests experiencing this fun-filled tropical haven in the heart of Covent Garden. This central London venue is perfect for receptions up to 600  and 200 seated for lunch or dinner. If you are looking for an alternative, experiential space for a meeting or seminar, then up to 250 theatre style also fit comfortably.

My main responsibilities as Events & Sales Manager include: 

- End-to-end Event Management across two sites, Café de Paris and Tropicana Beach Club, for exclusive, corporate and private hire 
- Reactive and proactive sales 
- Creating bespoke proposals to suit clients specific requirements 
- Operational Event Management, leading and working with the venue senior management teams to deliver events 
- Preparing contracts, invoices and function sheets for all confirmed events 
- Co-managing Maxwell’s Group Events Social Media account 
- Representing the company at business networking events, showcases and exhibitions
- Building and maintaining relationships with clients, third party suppliers and senior
management teams

Events and Sales Manager

Charles Darwin House

Charles Darwin House is a Meeting and Events venue, located in Bloomsbury, central London. Whilst working at CDH, I assisted in the management of all event processes. On a day-to-day basis I managed all incoming enquiries, prepared proposals and contracts and liaised with both clients and suppliers.

Main responsibilities:

- Managing event end-to-end process
- Preparing proposals, contracts and calculating costs
- Coordinating events for both internal and external clients
- Assist in the management of event operations
- Identifying client requirements
- Sourcing external suppliers
- Preparing detailed event schedules

Events Coordinator

During this period I worked as an Administrator for an Occupational Health business. My duties included the booking of appointments and diary management along with liaising with both the client and candidate. My role required the handling of confidential information and records. I regularly used a database and booking system, along with frequent use of Microsoft software such as Excel.

Interim/Contract Assignment

A passionate, creative and driven freelance Event Planner with over seven years experience within the Corporate and Private Events industry. Experienced in securing business, planning, organising and managing a variety of events across multiple sites for up to 700 guests. I have worked directly with clients such as Charlotte Tilbury, Virgin Atlantic, Michael Kors, Rimmel London, Nike, Live Nation and the BBC and am eagerly looking for my next challenge, a new opportunity where I can bring immediate value, creative flair whilst also being able to learn new things and advance my current knowledge and skill set.
