How to Hook Your Reader in 3 Seconds?

The launch process, according to Hormozi (100M Leads), consists of 3 phases:

✔️Whisper;
✔️Tease;
✔️Shout.

In the “Whisper” phase, we focus on curiosity. We keep the product itself mysterious and hint at its importance. Keep the whispers brief and show behind-the-scenes moments of your product's creation. 

In the “Tease” phase, we begin satisfying curiosity. We reveal the product, announce the launch date, and start showcasing its valuable features. 

We treat the “Shout” phase as CTA and give specific actions for the audience to take when the product launches. Now we start pounding the audience with bonuses, scarcity, urgency, and guarantees.

What if I tell you that your copy affects Customer Acquisition Costs (CAC)?

The biggest mistake is writing copy for customers you don’t understand.
Companies that truly understand their customers can attract the same prospects more cost-effectively. You need to know your customers well enough to speak their language. 

When you understand your customer’s language, pain points, speech patterns, and context, clarity naturally follows. 

Ask your customers:

✅ “Does this sound like something you would have searched for when you had this problem?” If fewer than 75% says yes, you are not speaking their language.

✅Survey prospects who didn’t convert. “Did we understand your specific challenge?” If you get low scores, you are solving the wrong problem or describing solutions in ways customers don’t recognize. 

✅Review your sales calls or customer interviews. Count how many times you used words that your customers don’t use. Every mismatch creates friction that raises your CAC. 

If you notice customer understanding issues, use this audit framework.

✔️Interview Recent Customers: “What problem were you trying to solve? What almost stopped you from buying?”

✔️Align their language with your copy. Compare how customers describe their pain points to your messaging, and note any mismatches.

✔️Identify assumption gaps. Compare what you assumed your customers cared about with what they actually mentioned. These gaps are draining your CAC. 

✔️Rewrite your highest-traffic pages in customer language, addressing customer problems. 

So craft copy that reflects your customers' thoughts, and your CAC will decrease.

The first example is too vague and nonspecific. It doesn't convey anything clearly, forcing your customers to guess. If they guess wrong, you lose. 

The second example clarifies what your tool is about, who it is for, and provides more context. 

📌Why should I care?

If your homepage explains what the product does but doesn't clarify what benefits the buyer gets, you’re losing trials before they begin.

❌ “Automated workflows”. 
✅  “Cut onboarding time by 37%.”

📌Why should I trust you?

Logos without context don’t build trust. Generic testimonials don’t either. Trust comes from specific results, clear positioning, and core messaging that shows you understand your leads’ problems.
