I run A3 Health, an AI-driven health and longevity coaching company. We help clients live longer, better, while also looking, feeling, and performing their best right now. And I'm a partner at A3 Labs, founding and funding tech-driven companies and nonprofits that make the world a healthier place. Previously, I worked in tech VC as a partner at Outlier Capital and the Silicon Ivy Venture Fund, invested in some Oscar-winning movies as CEO of Cyan Pictures, founded a couple of early internet companies (Sharkbyte and Powerdime.com) that were subsequently acquired, and started CrossFit NYC, the first CrossFit gym on the East Coast (and eventually the largest one in the world). Conversely, I’ve also made enough terrible decisions to completely blow up my life a couple of times. I wouldn’t recommend it, though I’m still extremely grateful for the painful lessons that yielded; as Mark Twain observed, a man who carries a cat by the tail learns something he can learn in no other way. I’m originally from Palo Alto, came east to go to Yale for a dual BS in Neuroscience and Computer Science, and have mostly been in NYC ever since. These days, I live in Brooklyn with my partner Jess and our rescue dog Coltrane.
