Bringing to life my story about a leopard and a cheetah, I produced an interactive storybook app for children called "Cats With Spots" (available on iTunes in English and Croatian). It combines illustrated fiction story with interactive elements and educational additions, accompanied with videos and photos from the wildlife. It was one of a few apps for children that was made in Croatia at the time and the first one made in my home town of Rijeka. For the purpose of the book app production I started a brand named TreeTop Library.

I came to Novi List daily newspaper while I was still a journalism student, in my last year of college. Starting as a summer intern, I quickly proved my talent for writing and my hard working habits, so the editors invited me to stay as a part-time associate. A few years later they hired me full time, so I took the position of a reporter/columnist. 
I covered numerous areas, such as healthcare, traffic, city infrastructure, living and construction, real estate etc. I was the first journalist in Novi List who encouraged development and specifically covered the urban planning sector.
Besides journalism, I briefly cooperated with the marketing department of Novi List as a copywriter.

3,200 people gathered in Poznań at Directions for Partners last week. And I think that alongside new connection lists and tech announcements, we all brought home a suitcase of memories.
 
Let's start with the BC news:

👉 Business Central has a new logo (which I like very much). Many have commented: "Well, good, at least they didn't touch the product name this time!"

👉 AI Agents are moving fast with Sales Order Agent, Payables Agent, and Expense Agent in preview. What that means is that we can expect every routine process to soon be agentized.

👉 Development is fast-changing and is bringing AI-generated code along. It's not enough to provide implementations anymore. It's becoming critical for partners to be trusted advisors as well.

👉 The new MCP Server in BC 27.1 will make Business Central data usable for AI agents in other systems without traditional integration work.

And a few items from my memory suitcase:

🔘 I played Blackjack at the Gatsby Cloud Party and won an Apple Watch for the best dress! (Thanks Terri Paetz —best clothing ROI ever!)

🔘 Finding really interesting people to talk to among thousands of attendees is not easy, so I guess I was just lucky. Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards just announced their winners for 2025.

It's always so exciting to see my customers on that prestigious list (but those names I cannot reveal without consent :).

What I would like to spotlight is the fact that Microsoft also received a record, never-seen-before number of entries this year—it used to be around 3,000, but this year it was 4,600 partner submissions from 100 countries! 

Meaning, winning one of these was extremely hard this year, so I congratulate every single one of you winners and finalists! You should be so proud and I hope you get to celebrate as a team soon.

AI is making writing easier for the masses. But it's making it harder for writing professionals.

Because writers today need to serve two masters across digital channels: humans making decisions and AI systems summarizing content for them. 

The solution that bridges those two very different expectations? Write like journalists using the inverted pyramid structure, define your angle, and write with clarity.

This shift is happening across websites (with AI search) and LinkedIn (with its 360Brew AI model, understanding language and parsing profiles and posts). 

Yet while everyone complains about AI slop, few discuss how AI has actually become our new readership. The shifts impact how we write much more than people currently realize.

Machines love:
✔️ Structure and precision 
✔️ Explicit entity naming 
✔️ Descriptive headlines 
✔️ Specific data points 
✔️ Logic, cohesion, alignment

And let's face it, for humans that reads: BORING!

Does all that mean we should replace creativity in writing, engaging intros and stories with machine-favored descriptions and definitions? I hope not.

As someone who spent one decade in jounalism and another one in marketing, I recognize 3 critical components that work for both audiences:

1.      Inverted Pyramid
First define Who, What, When, Where, Why, and How. Then introduce all of those elements in your first 2-4 sentences. Even if someone doesn't read until the end, they will capture the essence and the main message.

2.    Define your angle
Before you type in the first word, think about what it is that you actually want to say. What is the underlying meaning or perspective you will discuss? This gives context for AI—and 'the zest factor' for humans who read.

3.    Write with clarity
Follow the rule of ones:
👉 One idea per piece 
👉 One key point per sentence 
👉 One target audience

Avoid:
🔘 Unclear core message 
🔘 Too many competing ideas 
🔘 Overly broad focus (be specific and concrete) 
🔘 Run-on sentences, wordiness & repetition 
🔘 Complex language & jargon

Get off of work and travel with your best friends, who are completely unrelated to your business (and you cannot talk marketing, tech, Microsoft, or agents with them).

Between 40 and 60% of our daily actions are habits. Not conscious choices >> behaviors that start almost automatically. LinkedIn is no different—it works when you make it a habit.

Let me share something about habits from personal experience.

Last spring, I dropped out of my regular 3x-week workout routine. I tried going back in September. Didn't work. Then jogging in October: dropped after three attempts. Then joined a new workout group and went exactly once.

I had excuses: frequent travel, too busy, no time. But the truth was that during that lengthy period of doing nothing, I developed a new habit —> choosing not to exercise and eating whatever I want, whenever I want. 

(Yes, I got the weight 'results' too; shocker, I know.)

So I decided to reverse this behavior and develop a habit that makes me WANT to exercise regularly again. How? By using the same psychology that 'helped' me develop bad habits: by repetition and consistency.

Starting strong this week: Mon–Thu at 7:30 am. Whether I feel like it or not: no excuses or 'thinking' about it; I just go.

And no, I'm not waiting for January like normal people making New Year's resolutions. That's a trap. Despite all the December food and jolly times, by January, I'll have new habits fully built.

Back to LinkedIn: build your practice as a habit. Even when you don't feel like doing it, make some time to write 2-3 posts per week, and comment on other posts for 10 minutes a day (or at least 3 days a week). It's really not as hard or as time-consuming as you might think.

It's just a habit you need to build. And like workouts, it's a habit that you want to develop for the wins it brings.

360Brew Just Rewrote the Rules of LinkedIn (And the 7 Changes That Matter Most)

You've heard that LinkedIn runs on an entirely new engine, right? Right?! Oh, you haven't? OK, here's a quick snapshot:

So, LinkedIn replaced its old algorithm assembly line (with some light-touch machine learning elements) with a large-scale AI reasoning engine, referred to as 360Brew.

I call it Brewster.

Which is my way of making it sound a bit less sterile and mechanical than 360Brew (ew...). Why was this important to me? Because apart from being extremely smart, Brewster kinda communicates with us. I'll explain both.

👉 Unlike general purpose AI tools, 360Brew has been trained exclusively on LinkedIn's proprietary data—trillions of tokens of profiles, posts, jobs, and connection data. It's like a PhD-level expert in every aspect of the professional world with deep understanding of jobs, roles, connections, businesses, skills,  relationships, all of it.

👉 360Brew thinks in language and concepts, not just numerical signals. The old system counted likes, comments, and followers like a calculator. It went a step further in 2023 with ML additions to understand job recommendations, skill analyses, and feed relevance. But in 2025, Brewster reads and analyzes content like a human would. It understands context, meaning, and professional nuance.
