A bit about me:

Over the past decade, I’ve guided our branch’s clients with empathetic, values driven advice.

Then in 2021, everything changed.

I found out my dad had cancer.

At the same time, my mum’s heart condition worsened.

So I stepped away. No hesitation.

For two years, I focused fully on my family.

And I’m thankful this career gave me the freedom to do that.

By the start of 2024, they recovered.

And honestly, so did I.

Mentally. Emotionally. Professionally.

I returned with more clarity and focus.

And rebuilt everything from scratch.

Not just my team and production.

But my purpose too.

Today, I lead a boutique branch at PIAS — one of the largest FA firms in Singapore.

🚀 Is AI replacing financial advisors?

This is a question I’ve been asked recently by Advisors themselves

Short answer in my opinion: No.

Better answer: It’s reshaping [who] wins.

Every few years, a new technology raises the same fear:

“Will this replace people?”

AI is just the latest version of that question in sales.

Here’s what actually happens.

Technology replaces tasks.

It rarely replaces [trust].

Sales was never just about information.

It’s about judgement.

Context.

Human understanding.

AI is world class at:

	•	analysing data
	•	personalising at scale
	•	automating follow ups
	•	increasing speed and efficiency

But sales isn’t won on speed alone.

It’s won in moments where:

	•	nuance matters
	•	emotions are involved
	•	decisions are complex
	•	trust takes time

That’s still [human] territory.

Here’s the real shift most people miss.

AI doesn’t level the playing field.

It widens the gap.

Average performers lose relevance.

Top performers gain leverage.

Why?

Because AI [amplifies] what already exists.

If your foundation is weak, AI exposes it.

If your foundation is strong, AI compounds it.

This matters even more in high trust fields
like advisory and long term planning.

The future isn’t humans versus AI.

It’s [humans who use AI] VS [humans who don’t].

The advantage won’t come from knowing more.

It will come from [deciding] better.

And that remains a [human] skill.
