Age 19: Failed my software engineering module. 

Couldn’t write a line of code. 

Asking computer science students for any help I could get

Age 20: Still felt miles behind. 

Everyone around me seemed to get it. I didn’t.

Age 21: Completed a year-long placement. 

Worked hard. 

Added almost nothing. No influence. No real contribution. 

Knew something was off.

Age 22: First business failed. 

Forced to close it.

Age 23: Second business failed. 

Couldn't land any customers.

Age 24: Third business. Offered £290,000 in seed funding. 

Tried to bootstrap. 

Failed again. Closed it.

Age 25: Started an agency. 

Hit £10,000 a month. 

Still wanted to build software.

Age 26: Agency hit £100,000 a month. 

New software product. 

Early traction. 100s of users.

Age 27: Software hit 40,000 users in 103 countries. 

Hundreds of five-star reviews. 

Bootstrapped. Profitable.

Age 28: Writing code again after years of avoiding it. 

Better tools. Better mindset. 

It's only a few weeks in, but it's an amazing feeling!

You're going to make mistakes, but where you are now doesn't define where you'll end up.

Friday marked my last day at SEOSpace.

In May, SEOSpace was acquired by AirWayz Capital.

Over the past 6 months, I’ve worked with their team to ensure SEOSpace is set up for long-term success.

In that time, we:

• Launched our Enterprise Program, signing some of the largest agencies in the Squarespace ecosystem

• Developed AI visibility tracking and recommendations (coming soon)

• Strengthened our foundation across customers, partners, and record numbers of affiliates

SEOSpace being used in 103 countries is a testament to the most talented team I've ever worked with.

For all customers and partners, nothing changes.

SEOSpace continues its mission: to make Squarespace SEO easy for every business.

The full team remains, with stronger systems than ever.

SEOSpace now has a management team with the experience and resources to take it to the next level.

While I’ll be stepping away from SEOSpace, any “done-for-you” SEO services continue through my agency.

For anything plugin or course-related, customer support remains the best place to reach out.

This felt like the right time to move on to my next challenge.

After taking some time to reflect and enjoy the South of France sun, I’m ready to take that next leap.

After growing a product to 40,000 users in 103 countries, my role looks nothing like it did 3 years ago.

Microsoft requiring experience in Lovable just confirmed it.

Back then, I was stuck.

I needed a developer and designer ($6k/month) just to build an MVP.

Now?

I can prototype, test, and gather user feedback in 48 hours.

Last Friday, a customer shared an idea.

I thought it might be genius.

By Sunday, I’d shipped a working demo to our team, built entirely in Lovable.

It was a 5/10 on design and functionality.

But it worked.

And that’s what matters early on: fast validation over perfect execution.
