A few years ago I built a new desk from IKEA.


You know the kind,
47 screws, confusing diagrams, 
and one tiny Allen key.


Halfway through, I realised something wasn’t lining up.
The holes looked right.
The screws fit.


But the frame kept twisting slightly to the left.
I kept tightening things anyway, thinking:
“Once everything’s in place, it’ll straighten itself out.”
It didn’t.


I had to take half the desk apart and rebuild it from the point where things first went off.


And honestly…

I once rearranged the living room six times in three months,
