Three years ago (when the Cape was right in my backyard) I didn’t believe it was possible.

Three years ago, I thought belief was something you earned after you’d proven yourself worthy. After you’d hit a goal, checked all the boxes, stacked the cash.

Now I know it’s the opposite: belief comes first.

It took leaving New England to know what I wanted.
It took buying the “wrong” house to recognize what “right” feels like.
And it took a lot of swing-and-misses to finally understand that conviction isn’t built by playing it safe but by taking action AND developing one hell of an internal barometer.

So, Cape Cod real estate prices are bonkers!
And, I JUST bought a house this spring.
And yeah. It might not make sense on paper or to anyone else (especially to my financial advisor). 

But I don't care. I took my swings up at bat. And I finally connected with the ball. 
And now I know:

buy a place in this New England nautical paradise with an unshakable, electric, goosebump-inducing certainty that what I want is already mine.

A dear friend of mine - a 5x published author - once described publishing your writing as:
“Getting up on stage. Pulling your pants down.
And asking the audience for feedback.”

A-men!

Everything we do can feel like that sometimes.

Starting a business. 
Posting online.
Asking for help.
Changing your mind.

We feel so exposed. So inadequate. So ready for the audience’s “Is that it?”

Because we care what people think of us. I care what people think of me! And holy smokes, did I used to care so much more.

When people told me I swore too much.
Or that I was too intense.
Or too demanding of others.

But my four-letter words and intense demands?
They’re just part of what makes me me.

And they're part of what is going to help me leave this world better than I found it. Pants around my ankles and all (metaphorically speaking).

So, look. I get it. 

It’s hard to put yourself out there.
It’s hard to meet new people.
To pivot your career.
To move across the country or the ocean.

But you know what else is hard?

Watching from the shadows while other people give it their all.
Wishing you had the guts to try.

Poopy coaches are a dime a dozen.

The coaches who:
 – Don’t ask good questions.
 – Talk about themselves the bulk of the time.
 – Cry on intake calls. (yup, that actually happened)
 – Introduce their dog on Zoom before introducing themselves.
 – Aren't forthcoming with their pricing & instead say shit like “I’m a SERIOUS coach, so I charge SERIOUS money."
 – And, my personal fave, dodge the only serious question that matters: “How the hell do you actually help people????”


Anyone can hang a “coach” shingle these days.

The bar to entry? Loooooooooow.
The bar to excellence? Sky-high.

Coaching isn’t about buzzwords or frameworks or goofy acronyms. 

It’s about deep connection. 
Human to human.


🟡 A great coach holds an unwavering belief in the client’s potential. Especially when they’ve lost it. 

🟡 A great coach helps clients see possibility, say what they’ve never said, and do what they’ve never dared.

🟡 A great coach spits the truth. And says all the shit others are too scaed to say lovingly and without judgment.
