However, I always struggled to make that step. Working as a full-time employee, gave me enough challenges, money and happiness for more than 10 years of my life.

But not anymore. So in 2022 I decided to open Hiire - my first real business - focusing on helping companies to hire better and faster every single day without forgetting an amazing candidate experience. 100% digital because I will be travelling the world while I'm expanding Hiire and helping international companies.

Before, I worked for companies like Jason Associates, Feedzai, Mercedes-Benz.io, Adyen and Trengo. Hired +500 IT professionals (from Software Engineers to CTOs), created Employer Branding projects from zero and coached recruitment teams to help them go to their next level in Portugal, Germany, Netherlands and Singapore.

Since 2020 I'm actively helping great professionals find better jobs and different career paths with personalised coaching programs. That's part of Talent Booster - where I share content regarding careers, not only here on LinkedIn but also on Instagram and Tik Tok.

When I was 22 years old, I acquired my first stock, Apple and never stopped investing ever since!
I'm currently investing and advising Network Me, a great start-up that is helping to close the gap between companies and students.

Rule number 1 in recruiting:

Just because someone asked for compensation, it doesn't mean their only motivation is money.

And I believe one of the first reasons why people work is for money, let's be honest. If there isn't a paycheck, why should you bother? 

For a certain compensation, money is not even a motivation; it's a basic need that must be met.

Yesterday I joined the 1%.


I ran my first marathon.

+42km. 3h44. No stops.

I’m super proud of it.

It’s hard? Yes. It’s painful? A lot.

But it’s possible with training and consistency.

With less than 12 weeks of preparation, I knew the suffering would come.
But having the right people around me made all the difference.

A lot of challenges seems impossible but your mind can create anything possible. 

If you can dream it you can do it.

What was your biggest challenge so far?

This was my biggest challenge in sports that’s why I wanted to share it.

Professional courtesy is getting out of fashion.

But people still value it.

Last week, I spoke about people not caring about others anymore, and a lot of you felt the same, so it looks like I'm not alone on this.

AI and Social media are destroying our attention span and increasing the number of outreach in all our inboxes. 

To "flight" this, I have decided to implement a new tactic. 

Instead of the usual follow-up message, my team and I are sending funny GIFs (like the one in this post). 

My experience so far is that around 30% found it funny and ended up replying! 

Not all of them, but it sharpened conversations with a lot of good people. 

Humour brings people closer. It reminds people to be more empathetic. 

I believe humour can be the solution to show we are not AI and help us to spark human connection again. (at least until AI starts to do the same).
