Support the employee experience and remote work community with a goal to educate individuals and companies on Remote Work best practices.

Accomplishments Included: 
- Supported the employee experience and remote work community through the development of educational content in the form of video interviews, case studies, and thought leadership on remote work for the Oyster Blog.
- Strategic and project manager for a 3-part speaker series with seven industry leaders on the Future of Talent Acquisition as well as the internal Oyster Bridges event (December 2020). Developed themes for each event, managed speaker relations, sign-ups, and promotions, and created content pre-, during, and post-show. Created their Distributed Discussions Podcast Series, with five episodes featuring remote work and people operations advocates and experts.

Roles at DuckDuckGo: Functional team lead for five People Ops professionals; Strategic Director for company objectives focused on gender diversity, employee satisfaction, scaling teams, and setting internal standards.

Responsible for Human Resource activities such as conflict resolution, employee relations, total benefits analysis (including health benefits, family leave, and learning & wellness benefits), professional feedback and promotions, and writing a company code of conduct that resonates with a culturally diverse and distributed team. 

In my day-to-day:
Coaches hiring managers on job role design and specifications to hire, behavioral interviewing skills, and making hiring decisions. 

Consults with leadership on an organizational structure, team engagement, and individual expectations. 

Plans company and team retreats, and meetups to facilitate trust and enhance team performance. 

Regularly analyzes employee engagement through general observations, company and team survey's, and 1-1 interviews; uses information to make recommendations on future strategic and tactical activities. 

Accomplishments: 
Created a streamlined hiring and recruitment process that resulted in doubling the company size and growing gender diversity over 130% in three years.

Ali Greene _ Independent Consultant 

Consulted with companies on their People Operation needs. Main clients included Undertone and DuckDuckGo. 

Developed training curriculum and course content including writing technical manuals, presentations, activity instructions, and “train the trainer” information. Lead a wide variety of training courses, team meetings, and individual coaching support, both in person and remote.

Managed employee development for Client Services, Planning, and Insights teams in the NYC Office and remote. 

Conducted needs analysis to recommend course of action in professional development topics. Analyzed feedback on training courses to determine next steps and training trends in the organization.

As a Sales Strategy and Operations Specialist I spent my time overseeing and ensuring smooth roll-out of systems and tools improvements, sales initiatives, and internal competitions. I worked with remote salespeople globally, as well as a distributed team throughout the various offices to complete project work.

As a senior member on the Deal Quality and Programming team I took the initiative to spearhead many internal operational programs. Leading people through project brainstorming, testing, and roll-out. I analyzed trends while gaining deep local understanding of markets, merchants and performance of daily deal concepts. I informally managed interns and more junior employees, supported global onboarding initiatives, and hiring efforts.

2026, y'all! I've spent the last part of 2025 a bit quiet here, deep in a new home base, new studies, and a new outlook on traveling and community building… Psyched to be back and share more learnings and stories this year (my goal for 2026 is to get back into writing some of my life musings...)
