I sold $5,000 in product for one brand on TikTok Shop…in 1 month.

I started experimenting with TikTok Shop content in October, and here’s what I’ve learned so far.

I ONLY talk about high-quality products I love. No random crap I wouldn’t normally spend my money on.

I started with a Dazzle Dry at-home nail polish kit I’ve been using for almost a year.

In October, I generated $5k in sales on that one product. Around 180 items sold.

99% of this came from one video - a 2 min 33 sec video of me documenting, in real time, how long it takes me to do the manicure (using my iPad to show the real time stamps).

(I put text on screen and in the caption that is searchable to help rank at the top when people search for related keywords on TikTok.)

What fascinates me (and what I’d love to hear from other creators on) is how to improve the click-through and conversion rate.

There doesn’t seem to be any real data on this specifically for TikTok Shop, but for a general TikTok ad, it seems like 1-3% CTR and conversion rate is good?

If anyone has any insight on those benchmarks, I’d love to chat.
