Gina Mariko Rosales is a powerhouse Event Producer, social impact entrepreneur, and cultural strategist based in San Francisco. She is the Founder & CEO of Make It Mariko, an award-winning events agency led by women of color as well as Executive Director of Brave New Spaces. Gina co-founded several cultural initiatives including UNDISCOVERED SF Filipino Night Market, Pinayista, Balay Kreative, Weddings In Color, and the POC Food & Wine Festival - each designed to amplify the voices of creatives of color through events.

Before launching her own ventures, Gina spent over a decade in corporate and nonprofit event planning, including seven years at Google, where she was Head of Marketing Events at Google X working with Self-Driving Cars (now known as Waymo) and more innovative tech.

Gina’s mission is to create magical, meaningful experiences that remind people of the beauty and interconnectedness in life. Whether it’s a festival, culinary pop-up, corporate summit, or nonprofit gala, Gina brings a signature blend of precision, creativity, and cultural consciousness to every production.

Through her work, she has transformed grassroots ideas into city-wide movements that celebrate identity, spark dialogue, and drive economic and cultural revitalization. Her events unite artists, chefs, entrepreneurs, and changemakers to co-create moments that leave lasting impressions, and often, new collaborations.

Known for her visionary leadership and executional excellence, Gina continues to pave the way for the next generation of event professionals, especially women and creatives of color. She believes that events are more than just gatherings - they’re platforms for transformation, joy, and community power.

2025 was the year I learned how to curate myself.

Because your overachiever, Capricorn girl out here is often like Veruca Salt (🎶"Don't care how I want it now"🤣). Impatience is my weakness.

But last year I slowed down.
I got intentional.
I unlocked the basic but life-changing skill of direct communication. 

I learned how to be more honest - with my loved ones, and with myself.

I learned how to ask for what I need, without apology.
Without justification.
Without shrinking.

With Make It Mariko, I went inward.

Less flash. More foundation.
Cash flow. Accounting reports.
Systems. Standard Operating procedures.

The boring ass essential shit to help me keep growing my business 🫡

And honestly? It was hard.
It was frustrating at times. 
But it was also crazy beautiful 💯🫶🏻

2025 didn’t look loud from the outside (to me at least it felt that way)

But inside?
Everything shifted.

✨And I’m so fckin proud of myself.✨

Gina Mariko Rosales is an events enthusiast, efficiency nerd, and community connector. She is the Founder & CEO of award-winning creative events agency Make it Mariko & Weddings In Color. She's also the Co-Creator of well known events and companies such as UNDISCOVERED SF Creative Night Market in SOMA Pilipinas, POC Food & Wine Festival, Balay Kreative, and Pinayista. Prior to founding Make it Mariko, Gina spent 10 years doing corporate & nonprofit event planning, administration, and operations including 7 years working for Google. As the Head of Marketing Events for Google X, Gina created impactful events for innovative technologies such as Self-Driving Cars (now known as Waymo).

Gina’s mission is to curate magical, meaningful moments for the community while amplifying the voices of creatives of color. She is committed to curating creative, inclusive, and diverse spaces in the events industry, to challenge the status quo, and pave the way for a new generation of event experience curators.
