AI won’t take your UX job. But the designer who knows how to use it will. 😵‍💫 

That was the opening line from Erin Essex’s talk last night at BrainStation — and it hit.

Just wrapped Design Evenings NYC: The Real Role of AI in UX with Erin (Senior Interaction Designer, Google) — one of those sessions that makes you rethink how we build, not just what we build.

Erin shared how AI is reshaping UX design workflows — from ideation to prototyping — and how human-centered product marketing relies on understanding those patterns of behavior.

𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝘆 𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝟱 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀:
1️⃣ AI ≠ replacement. It’s collaboration.
↳ the best designers won’t be replaced by AI (they’ll replace those who don’t use it).

2️⃣ UX design is becoming “UX systems.”
↳ designers now orchestrate AI, data, and human input (not just pixels).

3️⃣ Prototype faster, think deeper.
↳ tools like Figma Make and Stitch automate busywork, freeing cognitive space for storytelling and craft.

4️⃣ The new UX edge = empathy + speed.
 ↳ when AI handles structure, humans can focus on emotion and intent — two things no algorithm can fake.

5️⃣ Curiosity > mastery.
↳ those who play with the tools today will define the frameworks tomorrow.

I attended because UX is no longer just design. It’s product psychology. 

And as a marketer, understanding UX = understanding how people move, think, and decide... which is the real engine behind effective product marketing.

With the abundance of AI automation, conversion is 𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭 human behavior.
