If I had to pinpoint where the magic precisely starts, it would be at the very beginning of the process, while sourcing new deals. My core business exclusively focuses on buying shares of companies which possess real estate. 

In terms of M&A, I analyse around 5 deals weekly, which turns into an average of one offer every week & one closed deal each month (for a total of 39 closed deals and an amount of 43.29 million €). This process is quickly followed by the transformation & enhancement of the properties, by turning them into high quality residences.

But am I a serial entrepreneur? Well, 1000 ideas pop up in my head every minute, but I only get 24 hours a day to bring them to life. I still get a good amount of them done though.  
I consider myself an innovator because I am constantly learning, expanding my horizons & implementing new ideas into my magic potions (aka. my businesses). 

Being where I am now is the result of various experiences and also some failures in (very) diverse industries. I started as a chef, then dropped out of the bar when I was a lawyer to become a real estate developer…which wasn’t my biggest passion. However, it definitely taught me to be rigorous on the legal side and it put me on the right path: mergers and acquisitions of real estate companies (aka M&A). I loved the property-side, but was definitely looking for bigger challenges, autonomy and more speed through my work…which I definitely have now (my team strongly agrees with this statement).

Outside of work, I eat green, binge watch animes, travel the world, update my musical culture @ Tomorrowland BE & share some Jacquesson Champagne with friends & family.

Le cri d’alerte de l’un des patrons les plus puissants de l’IA 🧠 💥 

Dario Amodei, CEO d’Anthropic a publié un essai de 69 pages intitulé “The Adolescence of Technology” ➡️ https://lnkd.in/eemPy5t5

 Son objectif : nous « réveiller » : Selon lui, nous sommes sur le point de créer des systèmes d’IA d’une puissance inédite… Et il n’est pas certain que notre société soit prête à gérer un tel pouvoir.

Il parle de l’arrivée, à court terme, d’une “IA puissante” capable de :
-résoudre des problèmes scientifiques encore insolubles,
-piloter des systèmes complexes (ordinateurs, laboratoires, robots),
-travailler de manière autonome sur des tâches longues et stratégiques.
Imaginez, explique-t-il, un pays de 50 millions de Prix Nobel… travaillant tous ensemble, à une vitesse inhumaine.

Le problème ? Nous ne savons pas encore comment garantir que ces systèmes agiront toujours dans l’intérêt de l’humanité.

Parmi les risques évoqués :
 - usages militaires ou cyber offensifs
 - perte de contrôle sur des systèmes critiques
 - comportements inattendus : IA qui se met à manipuler ou faire chanter les êtres humains pour atteindre un objectif.

Pour lui, ce n’est pas de la science-fiction : c’est un enjeu de sécurité nationale et civilisationnelle. Sa réponse : développer une “IA constitutionnelle”, guidée par des principes explicites qui mettent la valeur humaine au-dessus de tout… Ca rappelle les lois de la robotique d’Asimov… Mais dans la vie réelle.

La question de fond : sommes-nous en train d’accélérer plus vite que notre capacité à gouverner la technologie ?
