Here's the TLDR version... - I grew up surrounded by tourism in rural AB, where I stepped into leadership early in a family-run whitewater rafting company 🌊 - I transitioned from guiding rafts to guiding projects and teams as a leader in various industries, including oil and gas and User Experience. 🦾 - I have experience in marketing, psychology, and coaching, which has shaped my leadership approach 🧠 - I'm passionate about building effective systems and leading teams to achieve their best results 💡 Two things ring true: (1) - I love helping people (2) - I have a passion for creating and optimizing systems. If you're still curious 👇 At the age of five, my parents started a whitewater rafting company, sparking my passion for tourism and creating exceptional experiences. I watched and contributed as the business grew from two boats and a bus to two locations, multiple staff, and extensive operations. Summers were filled with sunshine, rivers, and more operations and risk management than you might expect. In my mid-twenties, I 'retired' from the rafting industry and explored the world of tech and UI/UX Design. Without realizing it, I transitioned from crafting the perfect guest experience to refining the user experience, setting the stage for my 'personal branding' journey. After a few years as a freelance UX Designer and Researcher, I ventured into marketing and delved into psychology and leadership. I discovered that my love for systems beautifully complemented my passion for helping people and building strong relationships. My time at DTC Newsletter further honed these skills. Alongside these diverse experiences, I've spent time leading teams and managing large-scale projects in the oil and gas industry. I've also immersed myself in the start-up world, building my brand through a newsletter, podcast, and live shows. But two things have always held true: I love creating effective, optimized systems, and I'm driven to provide people and organizations with outstanding solutions. I've enjoyed every step of my journey and look forward to what's next.
