Execnow is leading the search for a Senior Firmware Engineer with one of the most well-funded neurotechnology companies in the BCI space. 

This team is building next-generation brain-computer interfaces that sit in the same competitive landscape as Neuralink, and they’re moving quickly toward their first breakthrough medical device release.

Role: Senior Firmware Engineer
Location: San Francisco (On-site)
Comp: 160K to 190K plus equity

What You’ll Build:

• Firmware that runs at the core of a first-generation neural interface
• Real-time systems that capture, translate + support neural signal processing
• Low-power, reliable embedded code for ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers
• Testable, FDA-compliant firmware used in verification and validation
• Close integration with electrical, hardware, and software teams

What You Bring:

• Strong experience with C, Python, embedded systems, and real-time firmware
• Background in medical devices or other regulated environments
• Hands-on experience with STMicro, Nordic, NXP, and similar microcontrollers
• Working knowledge of I2C, SPI, UART, and low-level communication protocols
• Ability to move from prototypes to production firmware at speed
• Clear, well-documented, testable code habits
