My goal is to add as much value as I can to people's lives and change the perception of Assisted Living and Memory Care from "I have to put mom somewhere" to "I get to choose a community where my mom can thrive". The Brennity at Daphne Assisted Living and Memory Care

My career began with a community that required consistent and positive leadership. Occupancy was low and the reputation of the community was not where it needed to be. In my first year and a half we grew to occupancy levels in the 90% range and became a community that people wanted to go live and thrive.  We eventually grew a management team of dedicated and passionate people that over delivered the quality of care and added value to every person that came in contact with us. 

As the Executive Director, I was able to be a part of 6 ADPH surveys with the final 2 surveys being near perfect. ( one of my most significant accomplishments) We endured the COVID years well, but did dip into low occupancy percentages in 2021. But by April 2022 we were right back up to 100% and steady. 

As a highly skilled operating team, we helped hundreds if not 1000's of people by adding value to their lives and equipping them with the tools on how to care for their loved ones. We also made every effort to be part of the solution if a loved one was not the right fit or needed more care than we could give.

John McClure Snook Memory Care Community 

Managed a 64 apartment memory care community. At the beginning of my career at this community the occupancy was in the 60% range and under management company as a result of a negative survey experience. Within a year and a half our occupancy was at capacity and I had a world of experience in both the Alabama regulations and how to sell a community that was recovering from a set of bad circumstances. It was a transformational experience.

ATRIA REGENCY ASSISTING LIVING

I started as a Sales and Marketing Director  and was able to grow occupancy from a low 60% to a 90% in about a year. After a year, I was promoted to the Executive Director position and was able to continue the marketing growth and also develop a team culture with consistency and positive leadership. We not only grew and stabilized the occupancy we grew customer and associate satisfaction scores to high 90 levels too.

This community was my first ever senior living position as a concierge. It was what started it all!

Knollwood Pointe

I started this temporary position as a  brand new college grad for a small community struggling with occupancy. This is where I fell in love with helping people and becoming the solution to their current problems. This community was full with my first year and creating a waitlist. It was one of the most formative and positive experience in propelling my career.

On a serious note though, I’ve been where you are—leading teams, turning around occupancy rates, and navigating the complexities of senior living.

✔️ I led Community 1 from 75% to 100% occupancy in just 4 months (as a Sales Director). 
✔️ I worked as a Sales Director and eventual Executive Director which resulted in Community 2 reaching 95% occupancy in 18 months. (started at 65%)
✔️ I turned around Community 3 from 55% to 100% occupancy in 18 months, even during a tough survey recovery. 
✔️ I supported Community 4 in achieving 100% occupancy in just 13 months from 67% occupancy in  2021.

Now, I’m on a mission to empower senior living leaders to aspire for more. Together, we can create vibrant communities where residents thrive, families feel at peace, associates are motivated, and teams work seamlessly to meet survey expectations.

My beliefs? 
 Sales is service. 
 Leadership is influence. 
 Mindset is everything. 
 Success comes from involving your team in the sales process.

What if the greatest tool for growing our leaders… was our own story?

I’m a keynote speaker on a mission to help senior living leaders grow their capacity to lead, with purpose, with clarity, and with emotional resilience.

Every time I step on stage, my goal is simple:

 ▫️ And spark a shift that ripples through their teams and communities
 
When we own our story, we create our future. When we grow, we lead.
And when we lead, our communities rise.

I’ve had the privilege to speak at national conferences, corporate leadership retreats, and state association events, but the part that never gets old is this: watching the “aha” moment happen in the room.

▫️When the real problem isn’t avoided, but named, owned, and overcome

My presentations are filled with real leadership stories: the messy ones, the breakthrough ones, the ones that mirror everyday life in a senior living community. Because that’s where transformation happens in the moments that feel just like yours.

One of my favorite stories to tell is the moment I realized: I was what was in my way, and once I saw that clearly, I could get free.

That’s the power of awareness, stewardship, and choosing growth on purpose.
