If your answer is no, rewrite just one key sentence so it’s crystal clear what problem you solve and the exact result clients get.

I’m getting married in four months, and planning this wedding has made one thing painfully clear…


Most businesses don’t lose sales because their services are bad.

Far from it.

They lose sales because they introduce friction where there doesn’t need to be any.

I’m six months into wedding planning, and I’ve enquired with more businesses than I can count.

Here’s who never gets booked.

The ones who:

→ Take ages to reply (I've probably already booked with someone else)

→ Make me hunt for basic information on their website

→ Send vague prices with zero context

→ Don’t follow up when I forget to reply

→ Do everything over email instead of jumping on a quick call (so much back and forth, so much time wasted)

→ Never follow up after a call with an offer I can easily say yes to


None of this means they're "bad" at what they do...
But every one of these adds extra steps between me and a yes.

Your homepage isn’t a place to list your credentials, beliefs, or what you do.

It’s your first real connection with potential clients. 

It’s where you need to let the right people know: “Hey you... yes you, you’re in the right place.”


It's kinda like dating...
You don’t just hand over the ring on the first meeting. 
You build connection, trust, and anticipation. 

Your homepage works in the same way. 

It’s your chance to show you get them, you understand their struggles, and you’re the person who can help them reach that goal they’re desperate for.


It’s not about throwing a million things at them and hoping they navigate their way through. 

It’s about intentionally guiding them, building trust, and positioning yourself as the expert they need to work with.


This is my proven homepage structure. The one that has helped many of my clients (and myself) go from slow sales to fully booked:

1️⃣ Headline Hook
Say what you do, who you help, and the result they actually want. Make it stupidly clear and irresistible.
Example: “Helping women stop dating unavailable people and step into committed, passionate relationships, with my proven 5-step framework.”

2️⃣ Meet Them Where They Are
Acknowledge their struggle, show them you truly get it. Paint the picture of life after working with you, of how different things can be. Make them feel seen. Really, truly seen.

3️⃣ Position Yourself as the Solution
Introduce your method, framework, or offer. Not all the details, just enough for them to think: “Oh… THIS is what I've been missing, this is exactly what I need.”

4️⃣ Social Proof
Don’t just tell people what you can do... show them. Client testimonials, screenshots, texts/emails, and logos prove you actually deliver results. This builds trust, and trust is what turns browsers into booked calls. Your audience needs to see that you can do exactly what you say you can.

5️⃣ Mini ‘Work With Me’ Section
This is the bridge between where they are now and where they want to be. Introduce your offer(s) clearly, make them clickable, and keep it simple and short for now. Show them how working with you will actually get them the results they’re dreaming of.

6️⃣ Mini ‘About Me’ Section
Keep it short, real, and relatable. Share your story, show that you’ve been where they are, and speak to their struggles. People invest in coaches and service providers who truly get them. This isn’t just credibility, it’s connection.


That’s it.
Not 37 sections.
Not a list of your credentials.
Not a statement about what coaching really is 😴 
Not “empowering women to reach their full potential.” 

Just clarity, trust, and a sprinkle of sales psychology 💙

That’s the thing about being self-employed... the freedom is real. 

How you structure your days, your work, your business, your life… that choice sits with you.

Not a boss you secretly don’t like.
Not a rigid company policy that doesn’t fit your life or family 👀
YOU!

But freedom isn’t always simple. 
Running a business is messy and often overwhelming. 
But the power lies with us to shape it.

To ask:
How can my business actually serve me this year?
How can it make my days more joyful, fun, and less stressful?
How can it help me hit my personal goals, not just my business targets?

So this year, I’m not just setting “goals” 
I’m asking the hard questions. 
The honest questions. 
The ones that take courage to answer. 

I’m designing a business that works for my life, not the other way around.

I panicked the first month my business made real money ↴


Not because I didn’t want it. 
Not because I was scared of success.

But because it felt… bigger than me.

Up until that point, I’d been so scared of failing. 
Of things not working. 

But when that first proper month came in, I realised something...

My business had grown faster than my confidence.
AND faster than my brand.

My website didn’t quite reflect the calibre of work I was delivering.
My visuals weren’t reflecting who I'd become.

What the Brooklyn Beckham drama teaches us about brands ↴ (I couldn't resist 😂 ) 


The Beckham feud isn’t just juicy family gossip...

It’s a masterclass in branding, PR, and reputation. 
And it’s unfolding live, right in front of our eyes!

The Beckhams aren’t just a famous family…
They’re basically the *other* royal family to us Brits.

But more than that...they’re a global, powerhouse brand.

For years, their story has been:
→ Close-knit, supportive family
→ Aspirational yet relatable success
→ Hard work, discipline, and style

And that didn't happen by chance.
David and Victoria built it deliberately. 

Leveraging their fame, media attention, and every opportunity. 
From fashion lines to endorsements to family events.

Their empire is now worth over £500 million, with profits in the tens of millions every year.

All because they've influenced the narrative of who they are and what their family stands for as "Brand Beckam".

Then on Monday night, Brooklyn posts a long, very detailed Instagram story, airing a lot of dirty family laundry 😲 

And suddenly, that story, that carefully curated narrative... starts to crack.

What is meant to be a “warm, aspirational, values-led family” starts being shown as “controlling, image-obsessed, transactional.”

Yikessss.

The lesson here is brutal and simple.

Your brand isn’t your logo.
It’s not your colours, your fancy website, or your tagline.

Your brand is your reputation.

It’s the story people actually believe about you.
The values they think you live by.
The beliefs they think you hold.

For coaches, service providers, and founders, understanding this is POWERFUL...

Your personal brand is your business

Every post, every interaction, every word you put out there builds a story.

And that story determines who hires you, trusts you, or buys from you.

I used to think freedom just came automatically from running a business ↴


Ohhh, how very wrong I was 😂 

I was working 12-hour days, posting endlessly on social media (5+ times a week across multiple platforms), answering emails late at night, refreshing my notifications every few minutes… 

...and STILL felt like I was barely keeping up.

I soon realised that just working harder and scrambling from task to task wasn’t helping my business grow.

It was draining my biggest resources... 

My energy and time.

I’m one person with 40 hours a week to give. 

I definitely didn’t start a business to be more chained to my desk than I was at a 9-5 😂 


So I had to rethink how my business actually worked.

Which tasks needed me?
Which could be automated or streamlined?
Which actually helped attract clients, and which were just distractions?
Which were outside my zone of genius and should be outsourced?

Answering those questions let me structure things strategically:

→ I hired a VA to take care of the admin, so I could actually focus on working with clients.

→ I brought in an accountant to handle the finances, so tax season stopped keeping me up at night.

→ I set up Dubsado to automate client workflows, so I wasn’t stuck in endless back-and-forth emails just to get someone booked.

→ I started offering freebies that actually gave value, warming up my audience before we even spoke.

→ And I finally treated my website like the evergreen sales tool it should be - taking the pressure off social media, letting me post on a schedule that actually works for me, and something I genuinely enjoy.


Now, I can take a midday pilates class, start work at 11 am if I had a rough night's sleep, or turn off notifications for a holiday… without panicking about client leads.

Don't get me wrong, running my business is still a loooot of work. 

But now, most of my time is spent doing what I love - helping amazing coaches build brands and websites they’re proud to share, and that actually attract and nurture their dream clients 💙

I've learnt that freedom in business isn’t guaranteed.

You need to make it happen by being intentional with your time and energy, and trusting the right systems, tools, and strategies to carry you.
