I don’t even know how to start this post properly.
But I need to say this.

Yesterday, I posted the first carousel of my 2026 series.
I even wrote “2026 carousel series is back.”

And honestly
after a very long time
I felt something I hadn’t felt in a while.

People were actually reading.
Not just liking.
Not just dropping random comments.

Real comments.
Thoughtful ones.

Even if someone used AI, I could tell they still put effort into writing it.

That post felt alive.
I felt alive on LinkedIn.

And then… something stupid happened.

Last night, I opened LinkedIn.
I don’t even do that usually.

My phone glitched or my hand slipped or I don’t know what.

The post got deleted.
Just gone.

I kept staring at the screen like
“what just happened?”
“why did this happen?”
“how did this happen?”

I felt so bad.
I still feel bad.
That carousel wasn’t just content for me.
It was a win...a client win 
It was momentum.
It was something I was proud of.

And you won't believe 
I even contact LinkedIn asking if they could restore it.

I know the chances are almost a big zero. 

Still, I tried.(I know...Iknow what you are thinking😑) 

Because that post meant something
.
Yes, I know I can repost it.
Maybe after a few weeks.
Maybe after a month.

But it won’t feel the same.

Sometimes things just get ruined for no reason.

And it hurts more when you were genuinely happy.

Yesterday, I said no to a $4,500 client.
And no, it wasn’t easy.

We were on a discovery call.
He really wanted to work with me.
The budget was ready.

Then I asked one question.
“Who is your ICP?”

He said,
“Everyone.”

That’s where the problem started.

I tried again.
“Okay, but who do you really want to attract?”

Same answer.
“Everyone is my ICP.”

I paused.

Because here’s the truth I’ve learned the hard way:
You cannot build messaging for everyone.
You cannot promise 30–45 call bookings without knowing who those calls are for.

And you definitely can’t build a system when the direction is missing.

I explained this calmly.
That social media doesn’t work on hope.

It works on clarity.
Targeted audience.
Clear messaging.
Specific pain points.
Specific outcomes.

He said,
“We’ll figure the ICP later. Once we start working.”

That’s when I knew
I had to say no.

Because this call was not about “starting work”.
This call was about seeing if we’re a fit.

I asked deeper questions.
The kind only a founder can answer.
Behind-the-scenes stuff.
How the business really runs.
Who actually buys.
Who doesn’t.

What conversations look like before someone converts.

He told me to check the website.
The social media links.

But those things don’t tell me what I need to know.
I don’t need surface-level information.
I need direction.

Because when I say
“I can deliver 30–45 calls in 90 days”

I take full responsibility for that promise.
And I refuse to make that promise
when even the business doesn’t know who it’s talking to.

I ended the call early.
Not because the money wasn’t good.

But because the experience wouldn’t be.
I’ve learned this the hard way:
Clueless direction today
becomes pressure, blame, and chaos tomorrow.

And I’m done paying that price.
You cannot target everyone.

You have to know:
• who you’re for
• who you’re not for
• what they feel
• what they fear
• what they want
• what they can afford

Only then does growth become predictable.
Saying no cost me $1,500.

But saying yes
would have cost me peace, confidence, and reputation.

And that’s a price I won’t pay anymore.

If you’re a founder reading this
and still saying “everyone is my ICP”
that’s not flexibility.

That’s confusion.
And confusion kills results.

One belief I held in 2025
that I’m leaving behind.

That if I just stayed patient,
people would eventually get it.

I believed clarity would land on its own.
That good work would speak.
That consistency would do the convincing.

It didn’t.

What actually happened was this:
People misunderstood me.
Scanned instead of reading.
Liked instead of acting.

And I kept thinking,
“Maybe I need to explain better.”
“Maybe I need to post more.”
“Maybe I need to wait.”

That belief cost me time.

Here’s what I learned the hard way:
Patience without precision is just delay.

If people don’t understand you fast,
they don’t stay long enough to understand you deeply.

So in 2026, I’m dropping this belief:
That being subtle is safer than being clear.
Clarity feels risky.

It forces you to choose.
It forces you to be specific.
It forces some people to walk away.

But it also invites the right ones to lean in.
I’m done waiting to be understood.
I’m choosing to be obvious.

Now I’m curious.

What’s one belief you’re dropping as you step into the new year?
Say it out loud.

That’s usually where the shift begins.

Most people think ghostwriting means
someone else writing for you.
That’s not what I do.

Because the moment your content stops sounding like you
it stops working.

Here’s how I run ghostwriting
so your voice stays yours.

I don’t start with content.
I start with how you think.

Your opinions.
Your contradictions.
Your boundaries.

What you say easily.
What you avoid saying.
What you repeat when you’re emotional.

Before I write a single post,
I learn: 
• how you explain things when you’re calm
• how you sound when you’re frustrated
• how you speak when you’re confident
• what you never want to sound like

Then comes structure.
Not templates.
Not viral formats.

I decide: 
• what you should be known for
• what you should stop talking about
• what stays consistent even as you grow

Only then do I write.

Every post goes through one test:
“Could this have been written by anyone else?”

If the answer is yes
it gets rewritten.

Because real authority doesn’t sound polished.

It sounds familiar.

That’s why my clients don’t get
“nice content” comments.

They get DMs like: 
“I feel like you’re speaking my thoughts.”
“I don’t know why, but this made me trust you.”
“I keep seeing you everywhere.”

That’s not ghostwriting.
That’s voice preservation.

If your content performs but doesn’t feel like you anymore something is broken.

And it’s not you.

The first time I realised “helpful” content was costing me leverage
was uncomfortable.

Because I was doing everything right.
Explaining more.
Teaching clearly.
Giving frameworks away for free.

People loved it.

They saved the posts.
They commented “this is so helpful”.
They shared it with their teams.

And then… nothing.
No DMs.
No calls.
No decisions.

That’s when it clicked.

I wasn’t building authority.
I was building dependency.
I was solving problems so completely
that people didn’t need to talk to me.

I was answering questions they hadn’t even decided to ask yet.

Being helpful felt good.
But it quietly trained my audience to stay comfortable instead of taking action.

Here’s the shift that changed everything and now everyday I get call bookings:

I stopped trying to help everyone.
And started helping one specific person take the next step.

Less explaining.
More positioning.

Less “here’s how”.
More “here’s why this matters”.

Less teaching.
More claiming.

That’s when leverage came back.

People didn’t ask for more free advice.

They asked: 
“How do we work together?”
“Can you help me do this?”
“What does this look like for my situation?”

Helpful content builds trust.
But leveraged content builds demand.

And you need both in the right order.

Move on.

No tension.
No decision.
No reason to DM.

Buyers don’t look for someone who feels like them.

That’s why the posts you’re proud of
are often the ones that don’t convert.

They’re safe.

They’re forgettable.

write to connect.

write to confront.
