Every year, I spend two to four months in India, and a good part of that time is in my village.

Just last month, I was in New York, giving a workshop at a tech company—talking about AI, software, and the future of work.

And now, I’m here in my village… spending my days in farms, sitting with farmers, talking about soil, food, seasons, and the basics of life.

My friend is an organic farmer. Our conversations are about crops, cows, natural farming, and how everything in nature is connected. Life here moves slowly. No notifications. No urgency. Just rhythm.

This slow life keeps me grounded. It reconnects me to fundamentals—where food comes from, how little we actually need, and what truly matters.

I feel incredibly lucky to be able to live between these two worlds.

And the more I experience this contrast, the more I realize: happiness isn’t about shiny objects—big careers, cars, or money. It’s about staying grounded and choosing the things that genuinely add value to our life.

Sometimes, going back to the basics is the most advanced thing we can do.

Few weeks back in New York, I had the opportunity to conduct a workshop at Automattic (the parent company of WordPress.com).

What stood out immediately was Automattic’s distributed team culture. We had ~54 participants joining from Brazil, Singapore, Germany, the UK, the US, India, and more—different time zones, backgrounds, and roles—yet everyone came together to build and learn as one team. This is what remote-native looks like when done right.

The core theme of the workshop was a shift I strongly believe in:

AI-first development, not just AI-assisted development.

We discussed how progressive companies like Automattic are rethinking software development itself—treating AI as a first-class citizen rather than a side tool. We also explored principles of Vibe Coding and how engineering roles evolve in an AI-first world.

This felt less like a workshop and more like a glimpse into the future of how global teams will build software together.

AI day organized by AtliQ Technologies and Navrachana University truly a remarkable experience.

This event became a platform for a diverse set of people to learn, question, and express their views on AI. Here are a few highlights:
1) A couple of participants travelled 6 to 10 hours (from Udaipur, Mumbai, etc.) to learn about the future of work and meet like-minded people.
2) A 12-year-old confidently expressed his curiosity by asking thoughtful questions in a room full of professionals.
3) Founders, CTOs, CFOs, students, and working professionals (from both tech and non-tech backgrounds) came together on the same platform to exchange ideas.
4) The hands-on workshops made the experience truly practical — not just discussions, but real learning.

I will be in Hyderabad next week and I need help from locals.

I have food restrictions due to digestive issues. I don’t eat any chilli, spicy, oily food, dairy, raw salad etc. In the last few trips, I have had a huge struggle with food in Hyderabad.

Can you guys refer me to good sources of satvik food? It will be best if I can hire a reliable cook who can prepare food as per my instructions. We have our company guest house with kitchen etc. Just need someone trustworthy whom we can hire for a few days.
