I’m finally back.

And here are a few updates (good and bad)

First- 

My “workation” quietly turned into a full vacation. Didn’t even notice when the switch happened.

Second- 

I didn’t do nearly as much work as I told myself I would. That part made me a bit upset with myself, especially because November… was not great. Honestly, probably the worst month of the entire year for my biz.

Third- 

I didn’t manage my time well at all. Wasn’t showing up fully for work, wasn’t showing up fully for vacation. Just somewhere in-between.

Here are a few takeaways.

1. Digital nomading is not for me. I can work or I can vacation. If I need to work, I need a routine, stability, my own space — all of it.

2. I really thrive on routine. I went to Kochi and Kerala to fix my routine, but because I also wanted to travel, everything fell apart. No workouts, no meditation, barely any deep work.

3. Systems matter way more than I gave them credit for. Since I didn’t plan anything properly, I just did bare-minimum tasks. Working in the business, not on the business, not ideal.

A couple of updates:

I didn’t launch the ads when I promised myself I would. But now that I’m home  ads are shot, sent to the editor, and getting edited as we speak. First campaign goes live this week.

Good news though: 

Since I've figured out outreach, calls are still getting booked, leads are still coming in. The machine didn’t die just because I temporarily did.

I’m not doing the whole “new year, new me” thing. I’m also not taking December off because apparently “everyone else is”.

I’m just going to show up again, try to be a functional human being, and hopefully get my life together in the process.

That’s the plan. Or at least… the vibe.

LinkedIn InMail & premium: do paid outreach tools actually convert better or do they just feel like they should?

This is the question almost everyone gets wrong.

Paid tools often get blamed for low reply rates, when in reality they are just amplifiers.

They extend your reach but... 

They don’t fix unclear ICPs, vague messaging, or random list-building (sorry to burst your bubble)

Here’s what they ACTUALLY do well:

- Sales Navigator gives you high-quality lead lists.
- Premium lets you reach outside your network
- InMail creates openings you can't get

All of that is valuable, when you use it intentionally.

Where things break is: 

When outreach becomes volume-first and context-last. Indiscriminate InMail blasting burns budget and attention faster than anything.

But when targeting is tight + the message is anchored in something relevant- a role change, a recent post, a signal from their activity... paid tools start performing exactly the way they were designed to.

They don’t guarantee conversions.

They enhance precision.

And precision is what creates conversions.

Do you think a pretty, well-formatted post will get you 100k followers and 394 leads in 2026? WRONG AF. 

I see people spending hours on polish. Carousels. Spacing. Hooks. “Clean” writing. But the content is... weak.

Three common problems:

1. It reads like AI. Immediately.
2. You finish the post and nothing changed in your head.
3. Most posts don’t have a job. No problem. No reason to exist.

And tbh it’s not a formatting issue. It's mainly because you didn't research for sh*t. 

Here is what I mean by “research”:

1. What your buyers are talking about 
2. What objections keep showing up in calls, DMs
3. What changed in the market, product category etc
4. What your competitors are posting that gets saves/comments 

If you write for SaaS buyers, you need to be current on SaaS. If you write for coaches/consultants- you need to be current on their problems.

Your content is not “topics you like”.

It’s answers to the problems you want to get paid for.

This year my best-performing posts were plain paragraphs. Not pretty. Just specific.

That’s pretty much what the game is going to be in 2026.

Paramount is out here throwing $108.4B at WB to beat Netflix. Meanwhile, the real plot twist of 2025?

HeyReach.io and Smartlead just… integrated.

No hostile bids OR drama. Just two tools deciding to finally make outreach less painful.

Honestly, Hollywood could never.

Good day to be someone who does outreach for a living.

Here’s what running 3km every day has taught me about B2B sales. Actually, really, not kidding.

I started running some time ago... 

And it’s been about 10 days of ~3km every single day.

Day one? Horrific. My feet, calves, lungs, everything was on fire. I puked btw. Day two, I put on David Goggins so he could scream at me while I questioned every decision I’ve ever made. (Very effective)

And while running with that man yelling in my ear, a few things clicked about business:

1. You’re not putting in as many reps as you think.

If you feel like you’re doing enough, you're already playing small. Terrifying realization.

2. Rejection is just cardio for founders.

Every “no” hurts a bit, but it also gets you in shape for the yes. Weirdly addictive.

3. Your brain lies. A lot.

It tells you to stop running. It tells you to slow down outreach. Ignore it. Keep going.

4. The 40% rule is real.

You tap out early, in running and in sales. You always have way more in the tank.

5. Discipline > motivation.

I’m not running because I’m inspired. I’m running because it’s on the calendar. Same energy that grows pipeline.

Running is basically B2B sales cosplay- painful, repetitive, sometimes delusional… but it works.

Go take a lap now- terms and conditions applied.

LinkedIn content has shifted and the playbook everyone used in 2024 years ago does NOT work anymore.

People don’t just need to know you exist.

They need to understand the problem, the solution, and why now.
Top of funnel, middle, bottom, the basics still matter.

But today, it’s not enough.

The real difference now is relevance.

You can have perfect buckets, perfect structure, perfect cadence… But if your content isn’t rooted in what your audience is actually thinking about this week- it gets ignored.

This is where research becomes non-negotiable.

Before writing for my clients, I spend time looking at:

1. Niche-specific blogs and industry reports;
2. Twitter/X threads that surface early opinions;
3. Reddit conversations that expose unfiltered pain;
4. Quora questions that show what people still don’t understand.

This is the part people skip and it’s the part that matters most.

Because the goal isn’t virality.

The goal is relevance.

You want to join conversations already happening in your space, not publish another recycled, generic “ChatGPT hack” that adds nothing.

If you’re putting in the effort to post, make it count.

Make it useful. Make it something your audience actually recognizes as theirs.

That’s the only type of content that lands today.
