No PM. No dev lead. No QA.

But if traffic drops, it is magically an “SEO issue”.

6. “Report on everything marketing does.”
 
Influencer campaigns, TV ads, top-of-funnel PR, random experiments.
“Can SEO prove if this worked?”

7. “Deliver miracles on bad decisions you were never consulted on.”

Auto-generated content, thin pages, wrong product names.

“We already shipped it, now just make it rank.”

None of these are bad tasks.

They are just not SEO tasks.

The disrespect is not in the work.

It is in the expectation that 1 person should be:

- Strategist
- Copywriter
- Analyst
- Dev translator
- AI lead
- Project manager

while still being judged only on “rankings” and “organic leads”.

If you treat SEO like a catch-all role, you do not have an SEO strategy.

You have an overworked human band-aid.
