I oversaw every aspect of marketing and sales which took the company from sale #1 to millions in annual sales. From there, I continued to execute growth marketing. After growth marketing went in, I started product marketing. During my product marketing research phase, I created a subscription program and generated thousands of people who had signed up that were interested. The company was able to use that sales traction to raise their $2.5 million seed round from Porsche and Yamaha. The company then took the fundraise and pivoted the company in a completely new direction. They no longer sold ebikes but instead started to rent ebikes and escooters to Amazon employees who have a dedicated ebike rental plan for their employees (I resigned for a number of reasons but publicly: I joined this startup for the mission to get millions of people out of gas vehicles and into light electric vehicles to lower global green house emissions, I was not interested in the shift to spend my time just renting ebikes & escooters to select employees only at select corporations).

Hippo Insurance

Hippo is a Silicon Valley Insurtech Unicorn. I created and executed the plan for Hippo Home Care to start learning about the needs of homeowners for a variety of home care services. This required database segmentation, messaging architecture creation, and product positioning realized from consumer based qualitative data collection. Responsible for budget allocation, plan creation, execution, acquisition, engagement and monetization. Also created a blog, posts, and a feedback collection system to complete the feedback loop. Launched the MVP, created analytics based business intelligence reporting, created user journey funnels, customer personas, brand guides, email campaigns, and support various requests. Went from idea to launch and continued growth at a rate of 10% week-over-week.

Fuzzy is a pet healthcare company that offers a simple membership for in-home veterinary care for dogs or cats. I was responsible for growing the business by means of acquiring new users through various marketing, sales, and growth related tactics. In the 8 months I was there, I was able to grow paid users by over +1,800%. I only left to pursue an opportunity to start an AI based MarTech software company.

New Horizons Computer Learning Centers

I was the startup marketing manager responsible for marketing computer training to enterprise size businesses & consumers in a territory of 750 miles which included developing promotions, creatives, online marketing, script writing & training sales reps at 3 centers including Grand Rapids, Lansing & Kalamazoo. Overall, I was able to generate $2m in new revenue in 1 year.  After that, I left this position, moved to Hawaii, and started my own digital marketing company.

Tech enabled entrepreneur and marketing leader specializing in building systems that create low customer acquisition costs and high growth. 

I run the 3 pillars of marketing; growth marketing, product marketing, and brand marketing. I have a proven track record of driving scalable growth, contributing to $7.7 billion in net-new revenue as well as several successful investment rounds and company exits. 

My accomplishments include selling my first company (Offroad Powersports), adding new growth to startups that directly contributed to the traction required to raise two seed rounds, one for Ridepanda led by Porsche and Yamaha. For existing companies, my contributions to growth moved the trajectory so that Fuzzy could obtain their Series A round, ShipBob obtained their Series B round, Cleversafe obtained their Series C round, Series D round, and had an exit for $1.4 billion to IBM.

The public companies i have consulted with: Kellogg's, Ford, GM, Johnson Controls, VF (The Northface), and Hippo. A few of the private companies: Amway Global, Cleversafe, New Horizons, Hawaii Life, Hubnami, Lady Gaga, Cheqbook, Sundance Film Festival, JKL Worldwide, Fuzzy Pet Health, and Ridepanda.

Who am I? I am a startup guy. Startups are my passion. I am now 40 years old and I have been building startups for over 27 years. Here's my track record for my startups: 

1998-2003: Offroad Powersports = 6-figure exit at 18 years old
2003-2017: AOM Services = $2m+ lifetime (bootstrapping revenue for other startups)
2011-2013: PRO-TEC Autocare = From $0 to $1m+ ARR
2014-2015: Tidyrank SEO software = pre-registered $9m+ ARR (Mid 2000s, Software broke / engineer quit... I had no coding skills at this time, had to refund all paying customers)
2016-2017: Blue Lake AI = $4.7m raised, then returned (OpenAI announced they created what we were raising funds to build - lead investor pulled out and the rest followed suit)
2018-2020: Homemade Feast = Only state-approved micro-enterprise home kitchen marketplace in CA - insane interest but was destroyed by COVID.
2021-2023: Fresh California Fruit = 0 to $100k in 5 months with millions in unfilled bulk order requests (needed to raise capital, got distracted by a larger EdTech opportunity, put this on hold for now... will circle back in the years to come)
2022-2025: Clovis Tech Support = $350k lifetime (bootstrapping revenue for other startups) 
2022-2025: Botzs AI powered trading bot = private software, generating a compounding 2% per day (might commercialize it, code is ready for users, but testing it for 12 months before allowing anyone else on it)
2025: American Digital Education = launching Q1 2026 (65k pre-registered students)

During my journey, I realized I needed to learn more about various roles and other variables, so in the middle of all of building these startups, I also held roles at companies that range from funded $0 startups to multi-billion dollar startups & corporations. While in those roles as a W2 or as a 1099 growth leader, I learned a lot and also had a flawless growth track record. In total, I created over $7.7 billion in net-new revenue for those entities.  

For the next 5 years, I am looking forward to scaling up American Digital Education and then circling back to self-funding Fresh California Fruit!

Had a fantastic time at the "Great Lock-in Weekend" in SF on Saturday. Met some brilliant founders with innovative ideas and made valuable new connections. I also pitched American Digital Education on stage, which resonated strongly with the audience.

Out of those who voted, 11 expressed interest in investing in my startup. Given that these fellow founders bring impressive backgrounds; graduating from top institutions like Harvard, Stanford, and MIT, and working at companies like Google, OpenAI, Visa, and Microsoft... their interest serves as meaningful validation for what Dr. Larry Federico and I are building.
