Usually because:

First off, let me give you a back story of how it all started…

I’ve been immersed in the social media world since 2021.

Testing and learning everything I could get my hands on.

But nothing clicked, until I started writing online.

Writing is that one skill I’ve completely lost my mind over.

So I started posting on Linkedin in February 2025.

I had a lot of trial and errors in the beginning, but by month 3 into my journey - I finally cracked the code on how to gain people’s attention. And monetize it.

Within 5 months, I hit 82k+ impressions.
On a profile with less than 2k followers.

Since then, Linkedin has opened many doors:

→ got a podcast invite
→ load of inbound leads
→ agency deal for long-form content
→ and ofc, landed THE clients 🤌

Also made some great friends along the way.

Linkedin is life-changing, without exaggeration.

The single trait that turns a good writer into a great one:

Obsession. 

You can use all the AI tools in the world.
....stack prompt engineering skills.
....automate every part of the workflow.

→ But did you hand-write something today?
→ Did you copy a piece of writing word-for-word to understand its flow?
→ Did you study a sentence and ask why it works?
→ Did you rewrite something 5 different ways?
→ Did you break apart a story to see what holds it together?
→ Did you track your writing rituals?
→ Did you test a new structure?
→ Did you analyze a writer you admire?
→ Did you write even when it felt slow, painful, or boring?

That’s the grind most people don’t have the patience for. 

For the last 60 days, I’ve been handwriting almost every morning:

1. I pick a newsletter/post
2. Copy it on paper
3. Rewrite in Google Doc
4. Then rewrite my own version

Sounds dreadful (it kinda is)

But I LOVE it. 🤌 

While I’m writing, I’m paying attention to every micro-decision the original writer made - pacing, wording, rhythm, tension.

Obsession is the shortcut not a lot of people wanna take. 

It makes you see details others skip.

Every master got sharp by doing this - Halbert, Scwartz, Ogilvy etc. 

I’m not a great writer yet - not even close. 

But feels good getting better every day.

If you want to be great at anything in life:

- Be curious
- Go deep
- Don’t tap out when it gets hard

I probably lost 3-4 ghostwriting deals by disappearing from Linkedin for a few weeks. 

But if I didn’t do that, I would’ve lost something way more expensive...

My creative edge.

Turns out, these 30 days of rest WAS the work.

I came back with a fresh perspective, new ideas and a toon of willpower!

After I quit my hotel job, I didn’t realize how burnt out I actually was… until recently. 

I needed a longer break, not just from Linkedin - but from everything. 

That job ate up so much of my mental space and drained me so deeply that I completely lost the will to write for myself.

So to mark the start of this new entrepreneur chapter, my friend and I packed our bags and went to London.

- I was sceptical as hell (never liked London)
- Got there and LOVED everything about it 
- Saw everything I wanted
- Caught some theatre shows
- Ate great food 
- Fed squirrels in the park
- Took long walks
- Had perfect weather
- Had a lot of fun

Moral of the story:

Sometimes rest is the most productive move you can make for yourself and your business.

(especially if you’re a creative entrepreneur)

If you never take a break, you’ll keep creating from an empty tank. 

And you know exactly where that leads.


Don’t underestimate pressing pause. 

Oftentimes, that’s how you get your fire back. 🤞
