📚 MY STORY: In 2020 when COVID hit, I quit my safe, 6-figure day job to work from home offering financial management services to small business owners struggling to manage their cash and understand their bottom line.

Within a year, I replaced my corporate paycheck – all by executing the financial planning and analysis best practices I learned as a Finance Manager and then Director at Verizon Wireless, and as the COO/CFO of a $20M small business.

Since then, 3D Consulting has grown to serve greater than 25 clients in multiple industries. 

MY COMPANY: 3D Consulting was named for my three daughters (The 3 D’s) since most of the revenue ends up supporting them anyway. 😅 What began as a one-man operation has grown into a dynamic team of 3 talented individuals with experience working for Fortune 50 companies like Verizon Wireless, and various small businesses. 🚀🚀🚀

Business owners: If you’re ever going to leapfrog the competition and earn the BIG money, 

You MUST make constant improvements to your business and KNOW if they’re generating a return. 

It may just FEEL right to invest in:

🛠️ Shiny new tools,
🎯 “Sure-thing” new hires,
💥 Or a brand refresh.

But if you don't track the results, you WILL miss opportunities to leverage your investment or to cut it off when it’s not working.

The failure rate of business “partnerships” is much higher than it should be.

Partnerships don’t fail just because projections were a little off.

They fail because one partner believes the other isn’t pulling their weight and isn’t keeping their promises.

We’ve all been there, whether it was personal or business. 

And there’s no amount of prior investigating you can do that will guarantee things will work out.

In all my years in business and life, the most successful partnerships had very little to do with hype, credentials, or big ideas.

They came down to two things every time:

💪 Work Ethic
⭐️ Integrity

If your partner doesn’t match you there, nothing is going to save the relationship.

To really explore this, you need to have many conversations, about professional history, personal values, and future vision.

Ask yourself:
🚩 Do they believe their way is the ONLY way?
🚩 Are they focused on this business, or bragging about running 20 others?
✅ Do they respect rules and boundaries?
✅ Do they do what they say they’ll do?
🚩 Do they have a lot of parking tickets?

And If the answers don’t sit right with you, then you’re better off stopping the process right there.
