I built this life for me… but also so my little brother can see what can be achieved. 

Being able to show my little brother what’s possible is an inspiring feeling, and I hope he can take confidence from it. 

He’s growing up to be ambitious fast, but letting him see the creativity and hustle behind building a business like Newson - Film & Animation  is so rewarding.

I remember being so EXCITED and NERVOUS about this one, but once I was on set, I loved every moment and was buzzing the rest of the evening. 

Even now, after years of shooting live events, every shoot reminds me how lucky I am to do this for a living, and why I wouldn’t trade it for anything. 🎥

When I launched Newson - Film & Animation  five years ago, my goal was simple - create work that genuinely makes a difference for businesses.

Seeing messages like this today hits just like the first time I held a camera. 

It still gives me that same rush and excitement!

If I ever say I “don’t want anything this year”... This is what I actually mean.

Every videographer’s Christmas wish list is totally reasonable, we really only need the basics!

You may be worrying, looking at those price tags. 😅

But hey...

Now you know what happens when we say we spent the accommodation budget on “some kit”. 🎥🔥

What an experience shooting across Italy: pure madness. 🇮🇹 

10 days filming in insane locations → 2 days of non-stop driving back to the UK → countless miles in my trusty van! 🚐  

The highlight (or lowlight, depending how you see it)?

Getting stopped by Italian police while riding an electric scooter… 😂

Because apparently my riding skills were so bad they thought I was drunk! Their breathalyser said 0.0, so they let us go. 

Haha, unbelievable, right? I thought I was doing pretty good on that scooter! 

But that’s what I love about overseas shoots: chaos, laughs, and stories you couldn’t make up. 

Barely had time to unpack before diving straight into the edit suite - It’s been very full throttle lately! 🎬

Interview authenticity on screen is never an accident. It’s carefully created by a professional, expert and confidence-inspiring team. 

A key part of capturing an amazing interview is about making everyone on set feel relaxed and comfortable.

This is a skill that I’ve worked hard to develop, and it has helped me capture hundreds of interviews over the last five years of running Newson - Film & Animation .

The takeaway for today? 

Great interviews don’t happen by luck. 

They’re crafted intentionally by creating a comfortable atmosphere for all involved.
