Managed a team responsible for various aspects of financial accounting (cash flow reporting and management of Annual Accounts and Audit of foreign entities (offices in Malaysia, Singapore and London) as well as implementing process improvements to comply with pre-determine budgets.

Financial Accounting Manager

Managed various financial management and reporting aspects across the Programme Finance department, particularly transmission costs, programme stock, and licenses related to ITV1 network programme costs, and implemented a process for tracking and managing New Media, Film, and other rights within the department.

Program Finance Accountant

Provided financial business support, managing expectations and analysing the cash position of the division (£190m cash budget) against budget and forecast, utilising SAP and Hyperion to navigate dynamic working capital movements.

Finance Manager - Future Media and Technology

Overseeing the implementation of a team to process repeat fees and develop a financial strategy for the department. Monitor, analyse, plan and forecast various financial elements, including cash (£90m cash budget) and Value for Money initiatives.

Lead Management Accountant - BBC Childrens

Supported Heads of the department by analysing, planning, monitoring, and forecasting financial and non-financial information.

Financial Analyst - BBC Entertainment

Provided financial support to productions by streamlining the forecasting processes and developing internal control procedures.

Project Accountant - BBC Childrens

Provided financial and business support and advice to productions in these departments. Collect, analyse, and report financial and non-financial data from SAP, Hyperion, and the business.

And here we are again today... Self Assessment 😄



One reminder I often share with overseas clients... 🤔 

In the UK, tax follows where the income comes from - not the passport you hold.

So if you:

🌸 Own property in the UK
🌸 Receive UK dividends
🌸 Have business interests here

…Self Assessment may still apply, even if you live elsewhere.

Cross-border living is wonderful. 
They just need a little extra care and coordination when it comes to taxes.

Nothing scary. Just something to be aware of. 😉

I felt like I was back at school yesterday. 🙋🏻‍♀️😁



I met a new friend, and we got along like a house on fire almost instantly.  🌸

Before we knew it, we were talking about the shows we grew up with (Dallas, Knots Landing), laughing about our teenage crushes, and reminiscing as if we’d known each other for years.… all very nostalgic. 

We were in a very formal setting. Proper, elegant, an orchestra playing beautiful music you could waltz to. 

Very grown up vibes. 

And then… out of nowhere… a head popped up between us. “Please don’t talk - I can hear you from across the room.” 

For a split second, I felt I was sixteen again. 😄 

The difference between then and now? 

No getting sent to the headmistress… and we had the sophistication (and self-control 😇) to quietly laugh about it afterwards. 

They say people have patterns of behaviour... and 

I guess it’s true. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤣

📸 Walking into work this morning (because yes, it’s self assessment season), giggling to myself.

There were quite a few funny moments yesterday… 🤦🏻‍♀️🤪😆

Who Needs to File a UK Self Assessment? 🤔

You might be surprised how many people fall into this category.

You usually need a Self Assessment if you:

🌸 Earn income outside PAYE
🌸 Are a company director
🌸 Receive rental income from the UK
🌸 Live overseas but still have UK income
🌸 Have dividends, foreign income, or capital gains

Many international clients tell me:
“I didn’t realise it applied to me.”

That’s okay. 

Awareness is the first step - and from there, everything becomes much clearer.😉🤗

Have you ever had food poisoning? 👀





I had dodgy scallops on Saturday… and they completely ruined my Sunday. 😭

I woke up feeling a bit strange, but still managed to make it to church (small win 🙌). And I’m glad I did, because that’s where I found one of my words for 2026: Proverbs 4:20.

I came home… and that’s when it all went downhill. 🤢

The frustrating part?
My gut instinct had already warned me.
Something said, leave the scallops.
I ignored it and paid for it later.

Somewhere between the stomach cramps and my body trying to expel the toxins…

This is exactly what happens in business when we ignore the numbers.

Your numbers are your business’s gut instinct.
They tell you when something’s off.
When margins are tightening.
When cashflow is strained.
When growth looks good on the surface but doesn’t feel right underneath.

And if you don’t listen early… they make you lie down later. 🤔 

Lesson learned (the hard way): 😅
Trust your gut.
Trust your numbers.

Dinner conversation with one of my minions last night:

🐣: Mum, shall I ask you some riddles?
👸🏻: Sure… go on then 
🐣: (leans into her bag and pulls out a book)
👸🏻: Oh… this should be interesting.

🐣reads the riddle (👇) 

👸🏻: …Eh? 
🐣 (laughing): That look on your face, mum. 
👸🏻: Hmm… is it "Night"?
🐣: Oh, not bad… but the answer is darkness. Read it again.
🐣 &👸🏻 (together) : Ohhh yes… that makes sense.

(Silently wondering what happened to riddles like “why did the chicken cross the road". Apparently, my minion is a little extra. Inherited, no doubt. 🙋🏻‍♀️)  

That’s the beauty of having children. 🥰 
They keep you on your toes.
They keep you humble.
And they ground you in the most unexpected ways.

It was also rather nice to spend an evening not thinking about tax returns at all. 🙃

When your minion is a foodie, sushi becomes an eye-opening (and wonderful) lesson. Suddenly, tuna isn’t just tuna - it’s bluefin, yellowfin, full-fat, lean.

And just like that… you’re reminded again.
