I lead a team of software, machine learning, and analytics engineers to build products and features which help customers discover items on the JustEatTakeaway website and app. I started my career as a VLSI (Very Large Scale Integration) manufacturing engineer, fabricating power electronic devices. I've also worked as a data analyst/scientist, helping businesses understand what their customers want and recommending interventions. I'm pursuing a part-time Ph.D. in AI Ethics, specifically machine learning bias and fairness. My research aims to understand why algorithms display discriminatory behavior and what we can do to remedy it. I'm also interested in using data and technology to solve problems in society, especially in developing countries. I believe that Africans will have to solve Africa's problems. As a result, I'm very passionate about developing the talent that will solve those problems. Passionate about empowering women in STEM Outside of work, I'm interested in hiking and weightlifting.
