What Being a Performance Chef Really Means!  👨🏻‍🍳⛹🏾🍉

Most people hear Performance Chef and actually dont have a clue what we do and some think it’s cooking chicken and broccoli 5 days a week. 

Truth is, it’s far more than that 😅

It’s 5am starts, 10pm finishes 
It’s knowing every gram that goes onto the plate has a purpose.
It’s red eye flights on standby because a client’s on the move.
It’s 6 or 7 day weeks during the season when recovery windows and match schedules are in full swing.
It’s late-night prep, early-morning fuel plans, and constant adjustments based on blood data, sleep, stress, and performance metrics.

It’s cooking for athletes who trust you with their health, their careers, and sometimes even their future.

My job isn’t just to cook.
It’s to fuel performance, reduce inflammation, optimise recovery, and keep bodies firing when the schedule doesn’t stop.

But on the human side, the person behind the athlete, the parent, the friend, the individual who still wants to enjoy real food that’s tasty.

Being a performance chef isn’t just about fancy plating.
It’s about consistency and trust.

First off, a huge shoutout to my mum, the one who truly started it all for me.
She was an incredible chef with unbelievable passion and drive. She’s the reason I fell in love with food and creativity in the first place, She pushed me beyond limits, and still keeps me in check 😅❤️

I literally see it everywhere now , powders, coffee boosters, collagen protein and even gummy’s.
But in the pro athlete world, collagen has been on the agenda for years.

Here’s what you really need to know and how you can get the same benefits through real food, not just another supplement.

It’s the most abundant protein in the body, making up around 30% of all protein.

Project performance is recruiting on behalf of a high-profile family in Dubai for a Live-In Private Chef. We’re keen to speak with local Dubai-based chefs who fit this profile, as well as nutrition-led and performance-focused chefs with experience in wholefood, paleo, or wellness-style cooking.

Contract: Full-time, 24-month initial rolling contract

Location: Dubai, UAE (live-in provided)

Start: ASAP

Dual-cuisine household:

•	Chinese cuisine for four family members
•	Healthy / wholefood / paleo for mother and 2-year-old child

Service. 3 meals per day

Role Structure (2 Hires for Full 7-Day Coverage)

•	Lead Live-In Chef (Mon–Fri) – menu planning, purchasing, and day-to-day kitchen management
£70,000/year (AED 322,000)
✅Live-in position

•	Weekend Chef (Sat–Sun) – follows the same weekly plan, maintaining consistency and quality
£20,000–£30,000/year (AED 92,000–138,000)
🚫 This role is not live-in

🚨 Private / Performance - Nutrition based Chef / Belgium 🇧🇪

We’re looking for an experienced Private / Performance Chef to support a professional footballer and his family based just outside Brussels.

This is a live-out role, Monday to Friday evenings, cooking for the player, his family(5 total).

Menus will be designed around the player’s training, recovery, and nutrition schedule, while still keeping meals family-friendly and seasonal, Whilst working closely with the club’s nutritionist.

What we’re looking for 🙋🏻‍♂️

•Proven experience as a Private Chef or Performance Chef (athlete, HNW, or family household)

•Strong understanding of nutrition, recovery, and fuelling principles

•Based within commutable distance to Brussels

•Professional, adaptable, and discreet in private settings

Contract: Season to season
Salary: €5,500/€6000 per month (depending on experience)

Trial: 1-day paid trial

We’ve been undernourishing our bodies for years 🤷🏻‍♂️

We live in a world where we’ve normalised running on low fuel, poor sleep, poor nutrition, minimal movement, and constant stress.
Then one day, we wake up, look in the mirror, and panic.

So what do we do?
We look for a quick fix.

But here’s the problem 👇🏻

You can’t neglect your body for years years and expect to fix it in a few weeks. It doesn’t work like that,not biologically, not hormonally, not sustainably.

Can you lose weight fast? 💯Absolutely.
