One thing I would learn right off the bat if I were to start over


Don’t try to be everyone’s friend.

My first content?

I was giving it ALL away, for free.

Hell I even laid out all the practical steps that were part of my paid coaching program. 🤦‍♀️ 

And it got me zero paying clients, because they didn’t have to pay me to get my help.

I believed that unless I gave my expertise away for free, people wouldn’t want to work with me.

And I was dead wrong.

All I was doing was attract freebie-seekers that had no intention of working with me.

The kind of content that attracts paying clients is content that stops your niche in their tracks because it feels like you’re describing them.

It’s built around a clear message that is synonymous with you and the work you do.

It meets your prospects where they are at and because of that,

I was told my writing sucked at my first ever internship.

I was 21, and in my third year of uni when I got tasked with writing an intro for an event company's upcoming event.

The feedback I got was “this copy is not good”. 
That was it, nothing more and no guidance on how to make it better 👀 

And here I am today an odd 12 years later making a living from helping other coaches nail their content.

So if you think you’re ‘no good at creating content’, I’m living proof that you’ll be just fine!

Stop overthinking it, take the contradicting ‘feedback’ you read on LinkedIn with a grain of salt, and trust your gut! ✨

Let's settle “What’s the best time to post?” once and for all


I’ve tried all the times.

The early morning rush hour slot
the lunch slot 
and the after work commute slot.

The one that works best?

None of them outperformed the others

but all of them had me checking my LinkedIn every 10 minutes.

Here’s why you’re missing out on clients and cash when you try to find the ‘perfect’ time to post 👇

It means your focus is on the ego metrics, not the metrics that bring in cash.

Your ideal clients are rarely the ones engaging with your content.

They’re lurking, consuming your content to make sure you can 
actually deliver the results you promise
and they’ll reach out when they’re ready.

But if you’re focussing on getting more likes and comments
you’re conditioning yourself to create content that gets engagement.

The stuff that’s easy to read and consume,
usually pretty generic,
not really speaking to anyone but rather everyone.

Not the kind of content that builds trust with the people that buy.

Instead of wasting your time figuring out when you get the most engagement,
pick a time that works for you and focus on sharing the kind of content that makes your ideal clients unable to forget you.

What’s a good time for you to post?

Mine’s at 8.15am, when my eyes have had a chance to get used to the natural light and my morning coffee has entered my veins.

The 3 biggest reasons why I see coaches fail to attract their ideal clients through their content 👇 

It's not because they post at the wrong time or on the wrong day.
It's about the message not coming across.

Here's what I consistently see and help my clients fix:

1️⃣ Your hook is beige

It doesn’t stop the scroll, it doesn’t spell out the pain, and it sure doesn’t hint at a solution. Vague, feel-good intros don’t cut it. Spell out the problem in a way that makes your ideal client say, “Yup… that’s me.” Then hint at the fix so they keep reading.

2️⃣ You’re being vague

“I help people step into their power” isn’t a problem anyone’s pulling out their credit card for. Generic messaging gets generic results. Get laser-specific about the problem your ideal client is losing sleep over. The one they’d happily pay to solve.

3️⃣ There’s no clear point

If your content wanders aimlessly and ends with no real next step, you’ve just positioned yourself as the “likable expert” people enjoy but don't buy from. Every piece of content needs a clear plot and a strong CTA that shows people exactly what to do next.

Content that attracts paying clients does three things:
✅ Names the real problem so your ideal client sees themselves.
✅ Shows you deeply understand their struggle.
✅ Explains exactly how you can solve it.

Do this, and followers stop scrolling… and start signing up.

Here's what most coaches get wrong about creating content on LinkedIn


👉 You’re talking about yourself
👉 You use vague and undefined language
👉 You stay vanilla cause you don’t want to ruffle feathers cause it’s Linkedin after all

Result?
Anyone could have written it and anyone can read it

Result?
Your ideal clients scroll right past your content - 0 inbound DM’s and 0 calls booked

Here's what I would do to turn this situation around 👇

👉 Start making a list of problems my ideal clients have shared on calls, in DM’s or in actual coaching sessions and start writing about those
👉 Start quoting my clients (anonymously) in my content
👉 Start writing as I speak in normal, every day situations

Listen, people love to scroll. We all do it. So give people a reason to check you out!

Cause if they like what they see, they’ll show an interest and take it further.

Who in your opinion is brilliant at this? Aka tag your favorite creator that you admire.

Sometimes my daily LinkedIn scroll infuriates me.

The other day I read a post on how to gain 10.000+ followers in 5 months with less than 50 posts.

And I knew I was about to read some grade A bullish*t.

The post said that you don’t need to leave 100 comments a day, and you don’t need to post 7 days a week, just 2-3 times. (so far, true)

It even said you don’t have to be that consistent, you just ‘have to come back’ and share ‘what actually matters to you’. (hmm 🤨 )

Here I am thinking, these are not extraordinary actions, in fact many of us do this, yet the results are pretty extraordinary and definitely don’t happen to most of us at that speed.

And there it was, the real reason this person managed to grow their audience by 10.000 people in 5 months doing what most of us do

2 creators with a combined following of 500.000+ were tagged and thanked for their support.

Let’s be real, people

If we all had people with 500.000+ followers engage with our content on the regular, our audiences would be growing a lot faster too due to this thing called cross audience interaction.

So don’t believe everything you read on here.

If you are:
strategically commenting
consistently posting specific content
sharing your unique voice

You will attract the right people rather than everyone.

What’s the craziest claim you’ve read on LinkedIn lately?

For years I didn't take any time off

because I was constantly worried about the whims of the LinkedIn algo.

The other day the boys were watching football

Broncos V Jets - in London 

From a marketing perspective, I get it.

They’re trying to spread football so other countries come to love it too, which is a long game and these abroad games are only the first step in building that interest.

From a personal perspective, I’m lost. London has no ties with American football, and even the boys who watch football religiously every Sunday (all damn day), went out for a coffee during this game.

They don’t care as much because it’s not on home turf. 

It’s just an ‘away game’, really early in the morning.

If you want people to care about the coaching you offer, you have to make it personal, give them a reason to check you out.

And that one-liner you have in your headline saying what it is you do?

Yea, that’s not enough. You have to remind people consistently.

The only way to get people’s attention?

Content that’s actually about your ideal clients, served on a continuous conveyer belt.
