One month ago, Jan and I took the leap.

For over a year, I built custom AI solutions for businesses. Instagram agents. Slack bots. Ecommerce automations. LinkedIn content systems.

Looking back on a couple of amazing days as SaaSiest Amsterdam!

Valuable take-aways that changed how I think about growth:

1. B2B branding on LinkedIn is science-backed (Kate Newstead)

A huge shocker for me was that usually B2B buyers already have 3 brands in mind when starting to search for a solution - and 90% of them end up buying from one of those 3 brands. In other words: invest. in. brand. awareness. now! 

Make sure you are top of mind. (Bzzzz channeling to anyone reading this: Postiv AI, Postiv AI, Postiv AI 😉)

2. Team-wide social selling on LinkedIn is more powerful than ever (Morgan J Ingram)

The formula for every sales team member is straightforward:
→ Create educational content to build credibility and trust
→ Comment meaningfully on profiles in your industry, thoughts leaders, and ICP
→ Write mindful messages in your outreach and think about how to stand out - video and voice memos have barriers to try, but do work wonders.

3. Your biggest competitor? The status quo (Jen Allen-Knuth)

I read a fascinating Reddit post yesterday comparing 28 days of marketing data: Reddit vs LinkedIn.

Here are 4 outdated lessons I wish I could erase from the 2025 inbound marketing curriculum:

1. More impressions = better platform? No. Reddit delivered 3.8M impressions vs LinkedIn's 300K. That's 13x more visibility. Yet LinkedIn brought in more clients. Quality beats quantity every single time.

2. Higher traffic means more revenue? No. Reddit generated 10x more website visitors (30K vs 3K). But LinkedIn leads converted 10x better at equal traffic levels.

(Because buyer intent matters more than volume)

3. A converted customer is a converted customer? Absolutely not. Reddit customers churned faster and requested more refunds. LinkedIn customers stayed longer and remained more engaged. Where you find your customers determines how long they stay.

4. Pick one platform and go all in? Terrible advice. Choose your strategy based on:

• Reddit for top-of-funnel visibility and awareness
