🚨 Hands-On Purple Teaming Workshop at the University of Tampa! 🛡️

A huge THANK YOU to Bryson 🦄 Bort, Founder & CEO of SCYTHE, and Ramsis Nixon, Customer Support Manager for SCYTHE, for delivering an incredible hands-on Purple Teaming Exercise workshop for our cybersecurity students at the University of Tampa - John H. Sykes College of Business! 👏

This hands-on session immersed our students in real-world adversarial simulation and detection exercises, bridging the gap between offense and defense:

🔴 Red Team Activities:
       ·      Built and operated a Command & Control (C2) infrastructure
       ·      Developed Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) from known adversaries
       ·      Extracted adversary Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs)
       ·      Mapped behaviors to the MITRE ATT&CK Framework
       ·      Designed and executed adversary emulation plans

🔵 Blue Team Activities:
       ·      Detected and investigated Indicators of Compromise (IoCs)
       ·      Correlated malicious behaviors across multiple endpoints
       ·      Enhanced detection engineering and response workflows
       ·      Implemented and validated defensive controls in an enterprise environment

The collaboration between Red and Blue Teams gave our students a true Purple Team experience developing both offensive insight and defensive resilience in a simulated SOC environment. 💥

We’re incredibly proud of our students who participated in this advanced, hands-on Purple Teaming exercise. Your dedication to learning and collaboration embodies the spirit of the UTampa - Center for Cybersecurity! 🎯
