Sr Account Manager

I dont' feel that at all

Its crazy to think I’ve lived through the beginning of the computer revolution, the rise of the internet, and now… AI is casually rewriting how the world works.

I grew up with hair bands and the BEST music ever in the ’80s and ’90s to it puts to shame anyting now a days.

I’ve watched the Cold War wind down, lived through 9/11, and now find myself in a country that feels more divided than ever.

And yet…

After 51 years, I’m deeply grateful for all the memories, friendships, laughter, and moments that stretched me.

Looking back, I've been incredibly blessed!
And I’m excited for the rest of 2026 —new chapters, new people, new lessons, and more moments worth remembering.

Also… I got some great Nikes for my birthday. 👟
So life has treated me pretty well

I love digging into the Job-to-be-done and how to find the right solution and product that a customer needs in this complex and evolving world.  To accomplish this I work to create the right solutions through creative marketing, branding, and customer success, where both the customer and the business achieve the objective they want.

I focus on delivering key outcomes, by being adaptable, curious, and being open to learning new things

I have enjoyed many positions throughout my career in account management, customer success, product management, and strategy. My personal and professional experiences have taught me the following:

I can successfully build a business from the ground up from $0 to $2M in just under 1 year.
- I am a doer and act but make sure to think through and improve the process when needed.

“You’ll never get to 100.”

That’s what the guy at the Nike store said to me last week.

My wife and I are standing there buying new kicks for my birthday.

I ask, “Hey, I’m a member what kind of discount do I get?”

He says, “10%. But you’ll never get to 100.”

Was the guy telling me I’m not living to 100?
Did he just tell me I’m kicking the bucket tomorrow?

I just turned 51 I still have a lot of good years ahead of me.

My wife and I were both confused and then realized,
 “Oh, he means how much we have to spend.”

Turns out I’m not dying and we just ended up laughing for 10 minutes.


Apparently, aging doesn’t get you better discounts.
It just gives you better stories.

We all know the GOAT debate between Jordan and Lebron is crazy.

And to be clear, Jordan is the GOAT we all know the stats, and they're heavily in Jordan's court.

But I’m going to frame this debate a little differently. 

Who would you pay to see in their prime?

Jordan or LeBron

I think this is going to be a landslide for Michael Jeffery Jordan, but we'll see.

McDonald's Cokes are the worst,

Becaus I’m absolutely addicted to them.

See, this isn’t just a Coke it’s a crafted experience that McDonald’s has perfected and it makes me want to drive 2 blocks to get mine.

The pre-chilled syrup, the filtered water, and the wider straws isn't and accident. They've got this down to a science.


So, please don’t tell me you get yours from Swig or FiiZ Drinks, because I don’t need 12 pumps of sugar and a weird flavor to make my Coke good.

Thats just nasty.

Give me a straight-up Coke, vintage 2026. That’s it.

So I treated myself today to “the worst” Coke out there


Because I’m good enough.
I’m smart enough.
And gosh darn it...

Ok, it’s official. Indiana University is THE BEST FOOTBALL TEAM EVER
and is going to win the CFP this year.

For all the crap the CFP gets, and it's well deserved from favoritism, back room politics, and leaving good teams out…

They got this one right.

Because right now, there is NO chance, and I mean no chance that Miami beats them.

Dare I say it… the Indiana juggernaut.

You would have never caught me saying that two years ago.
But I called it last week:

After they absolutely crushed Alabama, I said. "They are winning the CFP"

"But they have to Play Oregon"

Well… University of Oregon didn’t just lose last night.
They got duck hunted, plucked, and mounted on the wall.

And now we’re supposed to believe a Miami Hurricane is going to stop the Hoosier train?

Not happening.


And Curt Cignetti should be Coach of the Century for taking the losingest program in Division I history and putting it on top of the college football world in 2 years.

And if you have a problem with this take…

I’ll let Coach Cignetti say it himself:

“We kick ass and take names.”

You have to be very careful on LinkedIn these days.

There are certain individuals roaming freely… causing chaos in the comment section these days.

This man.

Benjamin Barnes.

He looks innocent enough.

But don’t let that baby face fool you.

The opinions he peddles?
Outrageous.
Dangerous.
A little unhinged.

He calls himself the King of Hot Takes, a title, I should note, is entirely self-proclaimed.

He attempts to bait famous influencers. (failed)

He’s appeared on LinkedIn Lunatics enough times that he is now their thought leadership leader.

Most of his observations are… trite.

Almost nobody reads his posts, and if they did, they’d probably unfollow him 

His takes are pithy.
Confident.
And wrong most of the time.

And his love for the Utes?
Completely delusional.

I could go on.
And on.
And on.

So please… stay alert & vigilant.

And if you see him or a post of his, proceed with caution.

Here’s a hill I’m willing to die on:

If someone takes the time to comment on my post or message me
I respond. Every time.

It may take me awhile but I'll get there.

Even when there are hundreds of comments.
Even when I disagree.
Even when it would be easier not to.

Because to me, comments aren’t just “engagement.”
They’re people.

I’ve seen too many people dismiss engagement over posting to grow… and eventually they disappear or get burned out.

LinkedIn isn’t built in the feed.
It’s built in the comments.

That’s where trust forms. I've met and connected with some of the best people on LinkedIn in the last 6 months just because I left a comment.

That’s where conversations turn into relationships.

Curious, do you respond to every comment? Or does it change as your audience grows?

Saturday started out so promising and then...


"My tooth hurts"

My wife says. "It's been hurting for a few days."

So of course we get in the car, go down to the dentist to get things checked out.

He pokes around, takes a few X-Rays

"You need a root canal & a crown."

“And I was led by the Spirit, not knowing beforehand the things which I should do.”

This is one of my favorite scriptures of all time.

Because it reminds me of something we forget far too often:

That action creates clarity

But in my experience, most people think it is the opposite.

So, I lost my job last year

And for months, I tried to think my way forward.  Planning. Replanning. Second-guessing myself, and I didn't make much progress

The doubt in my head was pretty loud 

Do I actually have the skills?
Is this even worth starting?
What if this goes nowhere?

Eventually, I stopped feeling ready and did something about it 

I started a web series.
I began building a coaching business.
I started mentoring founders and startups.

None of it was clear at the beginning, and most of it I learned while doing. And here’s what surprised me:

Acting muted the doubt. 

Chances are, you’re doubting something right now.

Something uncertain.
Something uncomfortable.
Something you don’t feel fully prepared for.

Don’t run from it.
Run toward it.

Because you can plan forever, but without action, all you really have is a wish



What’s the thing you’ve been waiting to feel “ready” for and need to start now?



Is it me, or do most Old Testament Prophets look jacked in paintings?

In the last 24 hours, I crossed the 10k follower mark.

Now you should be checking my profile out just to make sure that number doesn’t sound off.

And you would be right to, because it’s not.

I don't have 10k followers, but I did just cross 5000 today!

But here is the truth: My goal is to hit 10,000 followers/friends in the next 6 months.

With that said, I want to thank everyone who has followed and connected with me, especially in the last 6 months.  It means alot.

Because in August, I almost quit LinkedIn.

Straight up, I was tired of posting and not getting any engagement.
Crickets.

That’s when I shifted and started to engage. I stopped posting and made real connections, and that’s when things changed, and I grew.

I can honestly say that LinkedIn has changed my life over the last 6 months, and 5,000 friends is a small milestone for the big stuff that is coming.

I hope you’ve found my posts entertaining, fun, and sometimes helpful.

So, at this point, just give me a follow. Go ahead right now and press that button up there.

Don’t make me work for it. If I have to, I’ll beg. I’m not below that.
Possibly a small bribe.

It’s just easier if you go ahead and hit follow.


But I promise I’ll post the good stuff, things that won’t make people rage comment or end me up on LinkedIn Lunatics.

That said, I still reserve the right to hold a few completely harmless, non-triggering opinions…

I still believe Crumbl is a terrible cookie; cookie dough is much better, Buc-ee's, Ltd. is overrated, MT is the best TZ, and to succeed on LinkedIn, it’s about human connection.

I’m not actually leaving.

I’m just not posting for the next 30 days or trying not to.

If you’re job searching in 2026 and still relying on 50+ applications in a day…
There might be the problem.

Last week I spoke with Melissa Grabiner about what’s actually helping candidates land roles right now.

Here’s something's that stuck with me

1️⃣ Activity matters more than applications
Recruiters aren’t waiting for resumes.
They’re searching LinkedIn.

If you’re not:
Commenting
Engaging on company pages
Reaching out to real humans

You’re invisible on the backend.

2️⃣ Your profile is prime real estate
The space above your photo should instantly answer:
Who do you help and how?

Too many people waste it.

Great examples I’ve seen lately:
Danny DelVecchio ✌️
Collin Strachan
Matt Barker
Melissa’s own profile

Clear. Simple. Skimmable.

3️⃣ Easy Apply is a waste of time
It often doesn’t mean your resume was reviewed.
Companies still prioritize applications through their own sites.

Clicking buttons ≠ momentum.

4️⃣ The hidden job market is still the market
Its important to cast a wide net
Most won’t respond.
A few will.

Those few that will can lead to conversations
That change everything.

Bottom line:
Visibility creates opportunity long before a job post does.

11pm Watched the Closer (great show with Kyra Sedgwick)

12am - Went to bed 

Slept in

8am - Woke up did 200 pushups, 150 sit-ups, 7 pull ups

Rest of the day put Christmas away. 

Ok maybe not the craziest 😀
