Today is for 1 of the most strongest LinkedIn creators I know

And although I sincerely dread doing this on here.

But this just has to be done.

My heart completely sank when I heard the news yesterday.
Our dearest Susana Onyowoicho O.  is facing the kind of pain I’d never wish on anyone.

As one of the most consistent and helpful creators on and beyond LinkedIn, she took a break.
So we thought.
But didn’t know it would take this turn.

Mind you,
It took extreme courage for her to share this.
She didn’t want this out.
But this is beyond her.
And as her friends. We have to play a part.

3 months ago,
Susana’s dad had a hit and run accident.. quite painfully common.

Now, we all thought the worst was over.. after his hospitalization and his being discharged.

But no.
The worst only just began.

Inability to walk.
Slow responses.
Memory loss.

My heart completely sank when I was finally able to reach her; “Daddy doesn’t recognize me.” She said.
And I fought tears back because.. well we know why.

Susana is that girl that loves her dad so dearly.. and rightly so.
The beautiful lady she is, was pioneered by her father.

She’s one of the reasons I don’t just pray for a good husband but a present father.

“Imagine the person you love.. not knowing who you are.”

She has tried everything. And I mean everything.
Knowing the kind of woman she is.
And she has held onto this pain for way too long.

Doctor’s confirmed that he urgently needs 2 major brain surgeries to survive.

She felt bad doing this.
But for once, let’s take this strong daughter mantle away.
And let’s help the one who keeps pouring unto others always.

Today, I’m showing up for her.
Because I know what it is like to wallow in pain.. not trying to be a burden. All while still showing up for others. 

Now please, let’s show up for her.

Not because they were bad…
But because nobody opened the door to read the rest.

• You’ll learn something
• You’ll feel something
• You’ll take something away

Because once your hook hits.
