𝐃𝐞𝐮𝐭𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐩𝐬 𝐚𝐮𝐟 𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐡 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 𝐢𝐧 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐢: 𝐄𝐢𝐧 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬ö𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐤

In den letzten zwei Tagen hatte ich die großartige Gelegenheit, auf der Slush 2025 in Helsinki dabei zu sein – Europas führendem Startup-Event mit über 13.500 Teilnehmenden aus der ganzen Welt. Besonders beeindruckt hat mich die starke Präsenz und Innovationskraft der deutschen Startups. Auf der German Pitching Stage durfte ich viele spannende Gründerinnen und Gründer erleben, die vor allem im Bereich Künstliche Intelligenz (KI) und DeepTech zeigen, dass Deutschland international ganz vorne mitmischt.

Der Deutsche Startup Monitor 2025 bestätigt diese positive Entwicklung: Über 23.000 Startups sind aktuell aktiv, davon 45% mit KI als Kern ihres Produkts. Im vergangenen Jahr flossen 5,4 Milliarden Euro Investitionen nach Deutschland, trotz Kapitalengpässen. DeepTech-Startups machen inzwischen 11% der Szene aus, und rekordinvestitionen von fast 900 Millionen Euro gab es 2025 im DefenseTech-Bereich. Bayern führt mit 19,5% die Neugründungen bundesweit an, gefolgt von Berlin und Nordrhein-Westfalen. Faszinierend fand ich auch, dass 32% der Mitarbeitenden in Startups internationale Talente sind, in Berlin sogar 42%.

Was mir auf der Slush besonders aufgefallen ist: Die enorme Motivation und Teamarbeit in der Szene, die Zusammenarbeit im Ökosystem wird jedoch herausgefordert – die Kooperation mit etablierten Unternehmen ist laut Monitor leicht rückläufig. Umso wichtiger ist es, dass wir als deutsche Startups zusammenhalten, unsere Netzwerke stärken und gemeinsam die Zukunft gestalten.

Ich lade deshalb Gründer:innen, Startups, Unternehmen und Expert:innen aus dem Future of Work und HR Tech-Umfeld herzlich ein, Teil des größten Netzwerks in Deutschland, allygatr zu werden. Day 1 was all about creating real pathways between founders and investors in a market that remains incredibly challenging. The opening show — lasers, music, high energy — set the tone for everything that followed.

Key themes and the atmosphere

• Investor access: Slush highlighted the massive concentration of early-stage founders and venture capital on site, with roughly €4 trillion AUM represented.

• AI’s influence: Artificial intelligence dominated the conversation — from reshaping product innovation to redefining how companies scale.

• European tech: Strong talent, bold ideas, but still the structural need for deeper late-stage capital. That tension was a recurring theme on stage.

• Networking above all: Slush kept stressing the same message — talk to people. The best outcomes come from unexpected conversations.

My Highlights of Day 1

• Opening show: High-energy start with lasers and music.

• Founder’s Day: A “laser-focused” day created exclusively for founders — no investor or sales noise — with 1,300 founders connecting, sharing, and learning from each other.

• Talks & insights: Founders, investors, and operators delivering unfiltered, practical perspectives on company building in 2025.

• Meeting power: As Slush proudly states — “a month’s worth of meetings in two days.”

On a personal note, it’s been especially meaningful to reconnect with so many familiar faces — and to meet many new ones. And I’m particularly excited that allygatr is here for the first time, including allygatr ventures like High Five.

From the moment I stepped into the venue, the energy was electric — not just another tech conference, but a true ecosystem in motion. With more than 13,000 attendees gathering in Helsinki, the place felt alive with possibility.

Highlights for me that stood out

The newly released Startup Struggle Survey 2025 revealed that fundraising remains the top concern for founders — but what really jumped this year was the struggle with revenue growth, increasing significantly compared to last year.
The venue was buzzing with hundreds of meeting tables and a powerful meeting tool that enabled thousands of founder–investor meetings every hour.

The industry spread felt broader and deeper than ever: from SaaS and fintech to AI, deeptech, healthtech, gaming, and manufacturing — over 50 sectors represented.

The founder–investor energy was real: conversations focused less on hype and more on building companies with traction, culture, resilience, and clear strategy.

Key moments for me

The hallway conversations were some of the most valuable — full of questions about “what’s next” rather than “what was.” The startup area was nonstop energy, with live demos, product teardowns, and pitches that showed how much the focus is shifting toward actual revenue, retention, and efficiency.
I was genuinely impressed once again by the volunteer-driven nature of Slush. It’s an event built by students and operated with remarkable professionalism — a reminder that the next generation of builders is already shaping the ecosystem.

Slush 2025 was a vivid reminder that the startup playbook is changing. It’s no longer only about raising capital — it’s about sustainable growth, customer retention, building real products, and nurturing strong teams. Even though capital availability has slightly improved, only a small share of founders feel that fundraising has become easy.

What I’m taking home:

- Be intentional with every meeting — Slush enables meaningful conversations, not just many conversations.
- Focus on scalable growth, not just product launches.
- Invest in community and ecosystem value — the strongest companies are those that build networks, not just features (so - join allygatr when you are in the worktech sector ;) 

A huge thank-you to everyone who made Slush 2025 an unforgettable experience. The best part of these events is always the people — founders, investors, operators, partners, and friends.

Wer in den letzten Wochen gesehen hat, wie Nina Meier-Hahasvili, Carsten Meier  und Gregor Kalchthaler hier auf LinkedIn wieder aktiver geworden sind, ahnte es vielleicht schon: Da entsteht etwas Großes. 😉

Heute dürfen wir es endlich teilen: 𝑶𝒐𝒑𝒔!... 𝑾𝒆 𝑫𝒊𝒅 𝑰𝒕 𝑨𝒈𝒂𝒊𝒏

Es fing mit einem Gespräch mit dem Intraprenör Team bezüglich einer potentiellen Beteiligung an allygatr an.  

Es folgten viele tolle Gespräche – und selten habe ich Menschen, die HR, People & Culture und Organisationsentwicklung so tief verstehen, so mutig denken und so konsequent in die Zukunft übersetzen. Unf ich kenne viele Menschen 🫣

Es endete dann mal wieder in einer Mitgründung. Und wir bei allygatr sind sehr stolz, so erfolgreiche Unternehmen wie heycare (former heynanny), HR-Autopilot, Searchtalent GmbH, Selectic GmbH, high five und weitere alle als Gründungsgesellschafter von Anfang an begleitet haben. Und jetzt kommt PACED hinzu. Warum? 

Mit PACED entsteht genau das Weiterbildungsformat, das HR jetzt braucht:
Ein digitales Programm, das Menschen befähigt, in Zeiten von KI unersetzlich zu bleiben, KI smart einzusetzen und die Future Skills aufzubauen, die wirklich zählen.
